The RFL have been embarrassed by the bad publicity regarding clubs financial state in recent times, they are set to take a much harder line next time around. We have to get it right.

Exact details cannot be viewed by the public, only by the parties concerned. The point I was making is that once Judgement has been entered it's a done deal, You have an opportunity to contest or counter claim prior to judgement. Judgement can be issued on two basis, 1) By default ie. the Defendant fails to contest or respond. or 2) The Judge finds in favour of the Claimant.
So we have either not responded or have no case of defence, doesn't matter on anyones elses point of view Judgement has been made. In some cases Judgement can be repealed and a correction put on file, but this does not happen very often and very good cause has to be shown.

I'm no expert on CCJ's but if I understand things correctly the Club owed the catering company £12,000 and refused or would not pay because they disputed the figure. I know that the Club were in dispute with the company over bad service provided and I experienced the bad service myself. Agreement was not reached on a settlement so the company seeks a CCJ through the On-Line Court in Northampton. The Court looks at the information provided by both parties and comes up with a judgement in favour of the comany in the sum of £4,231.00.
If thats how it works then the Club have achieved a result of sorts by not paying the £12,000 and therefore saving £7,769. Looks like sensible business on the Club's part rather than being in financial trouble. When they pay the £4,231 I understand that the CCJ is then removed.
Andrew Glover owns the Club and I suggest that we let him run it how he sees fit rather than going looking for problems.

This makes sense, but it's a little concerning that they won't make a statement to that effect, or at least one to reassure that there's nothing to worry about.

This exactly.
I trust Glover a million times more than the last regime, the man knows what he's doing. If the club is getting ripped off I'd do exactly the same, why hand out money that's not warranted ? CCJ..... SchmeeCJ !!

If you recall when we had the last lot of CCJ I spoke with James Elston and then put a post on here explaining that the CCJ's were disputes and were being dealt with. I also explained that with the on-line court it was very easy to seek a judgement. Companies are using the on-line court almost as a means of arbitration rather than negotiating a settlement so there may be more.
As I said before these CCJ's are being dealt with, I'm informed that the Club has no debt and is solvent. I wish our fans would stop looking for problems that are not there and let Andrew Glover get on with running the Club.

A big difference between what the company wanted and what they were awarded.
If anything I suppose it shows that using the CCJ system to sort out disputes can be advantageous and not always negative.

| Doesn't neccesarily work that way, If it had got to mediation and the judge awarded a lower settlement figure, a judgement would not be issued. WTW would be given a an option to accept or reject this, if accepted, make payment and the matter would be closed with NO judgement issued.
That's how the system works. Judgment still indicates No payment or failure to keep to agreed arrangements.
Still very poor business management, take it from a credit / risk analyst.

Once the court decided the amount payable we have 30 days to pay, when we don't that's when a CCJ is issued, also CCJ's are on record for 6 years if I remember rightly.

No one is suggesting that we turn a blind eye but a CCJ for £4,231 has been mentioned which has been the result of a disputed bill. What do you suggest we do ?

You suggested we should let him run the business how he see's fit ( i agree) it is owned by him so thats fair enough, by while ever public information on that company is in the open people/fans/poster may wish to discuss it on here.
If its a disputed bill then fair enough don't pay it and thats his call but whatever he does people will want to openly question it on here, rightly or wrongly.

And they have and they have a right to do so. They can also worry about it if they wish or as I suggest they can let AG run the business as he is doing and in my opinion doing it far better than we have seen for many, many years.
The Trust speaks with James on a regular basis and we raise issues with him, including CCJ's and dare I mention segregation and he gives us the Clubs views/explanations on those matters which I often relay on here. Its then a matter of whether people want to believe it or not - it's their choice.

Yeah but the question remains - why don't they make a statement to clarify. It's not enough to leave people wondering and release your info through a supporters trust on an internet message forum.

Why make a statement and blow everything out of proportion ? Personally I think the only info that should be released to the fans is team news, signings, and the positive things that's are going on at the club. Why create mass hysteria in something that means little ? Let Glover and co get on with it and put your trust in the man that rescued WTW from demise.

if it was just 1 CCJ then i could understand. But WTW have several .
This really does need putting to bed either start paying or come clean about the reasons for the CCJ's.
