Had this been a real game you may have a point, although in a real game both would have got 10 minutes!- but it wasn't. Poore put down a marker, mess with me or I WILL hurt you. Now he doesn't have to do it in a real game.
As for your lionisation of Bailey, he spent the rest of the day hiding.'"
Not much into sports psychology but I'd suggest that was Poore set down the marker regarding Bailey for future games, keep your eye on these two for future games!

Is that deliberate ? cos it made me laugh.

Don't forget the classic of all time - Bailey hiding behind Burrow when Lauaki went after him, resulting in the pure comedy gold of Burrow windmilling punches in mid-air, whilst Lauaki held him at bay with a hand on top of his head.

Got to laugh at some of the Leeds lot trying to take more out of the game than actually there is, apparently they beat Trinity's full side with a team full of kids. It seemed to have past them by that both sides didn't field the strongest side but more importantly we were a man down for over half a game and as usual when that happens one team runs out of gas by about the 60th minute.'"
Yeah this preseason victory against wakey is the bragging rights we've been waiting for. If only we had a one of our players sent off like your lot to gloat about. Not like we have anything else to brag about now is there....

| This pre-season warm-up has generated more interest than any other in recent years; perhaps it's an indication that despite the howls of protest when it happens, the best way to get people interested in the game is to bring back the biff??
Even our very own Sunbed Kid has got himself into a right schemozzle on Twitter, arguing with Robbie Burrow for suggesting that the Leeds 'kids' beat a full strength Wakey side; I can't wait for the first competitive game of the season - it'll be a humdinger!

LOL did I say that, no you've gone on some weird tangent there bud, only thing I said is that a few of your lot seemed to take a lot from beating a 12 man 'full Strength' Trinity side, with you're supposed side of kids.
And give it a rest, if Bailey had flattened Poore and got sent off yesterday, you'd be having a mass circle jerk like you usually have about the crap house.

| yeah i'm sure agar will be very happy to learn that 20 minutes of bailey is too much for poore to handle, the fact that it was in a friendly makes it even worse; he couldn't handle the attention in a friendly so whats he going to be like when it really matters. then when you combine it with the fact that you didn't have any other 'named' props in your squad, it's a great showing from him
end of the day bailey has a small cut which will be gone in a week or two. poore has put a big target on himself for both players & refs which will last for months.

It was as pretty much a full strength side, chances are you'll have at least 4 or 5 out for most games through injury suspension etc. Supposed kids? Are you trying to deny that we didn't play kids? Insane. .Seems to me like a lot of you are ignoring that a team made up with MOSTLY first team players got beat by Leeds juniors. I know what kind of response I'm going to get as it will not be admitted but facts are facts. A bit worrying. You're overestimating your clubs significance to us, you are for the time being at least no real threat to us.

| Poore went at it like a maniac yesterday right from the off, i loved every second of it.
It was an odd red card, and i'm struggling to think of too many recent games with 1 red and 3 yellow cards in it, so that says more about the ref than Bailey's supposedly wonderful goading tactics that earned him a whack.
Leeds have some terrifyingly good young uns coming through and clearly have plan right through the club to focus on offloading in the tackle.
Wakey were decent and kept right in it, Trout was as good as he could have been. We were a bit light up front for obvious reasons, the backs put some decent plays together and i thought Collis had a great game. I worry about our wingers defence again.
All in all a good run out for both teams and there is obviously more work to do before the big kick.
It really whet my appetite as well, super stuff all round.

The main point is, if a team whether they are made up of few of the younger players can't beat a side that played with 12 men for over half a game there is something wrong, especially the Champions.
No I'm not trying to deny anything bud but the way you lot have been trying to paint the picture you'd think there were 17 teenagers on the pitch. We also had 6/7 younger players and only one recognised prop (Poore) and you had about 10, you really are making more out of it than there is especially for a pre-season boxing day game, that's all I've said.

| Didn't Healy (a prop) also play? Not sure it was over half a game with Leeds also down to 11 then 12 for 20 minutes of the game. Wakeys squad had a far more 'familiar' look than leeds though that just highlights the strength in depth of one side and the lack of in the other, to be expected really.

I think Poore saw red because he had only 5 mins before been put on, what I now assume, was a warning from the ref for his high shot on I think Singleton (ironically now!). I suspect had it not been for this previous incident that ,like the other 3, he would have just seen yellow. It is difficult to argue with the ref's position on this one if, as I suspect, he had just handed out a 'carrying on like that & you may find yourself taking a break' chat to Poore a short while earlier & then despite being pulled in by Bailey, he floors him with a right hook!

I was between this position and the one i went with, as i said he did play like a maniac. I think ten would have given the same message, given chance for the coach to have a word to Poore whom was obviously in a mind to out everyone else, and made for an even better 1st warm up!

I would love it if other teams fans would read about our forum before coming on and posting their opinions. Bailey has a small cut, okay so play down the fact that he got cracked good and proper. Leeds like to make out he is some super technical machine used to enfuriate the other team, when in fact, yes he does get under other teams skin but that's because that's the type of person and player he is. Since a young age he has been one to try intimidate and boss players, yes it is a good way to put players off their game, but Bailey got what he was asking for, as the type of player he is, a good crack.
As another poster has also poster regarding Poore, he has made 200 or so NRL appearances, and this is beleived to be his first red card at first grade level in his career. So you stating he is a loose cannon who won't be on the field and be target because he's weak on his discipline doesn't match his track record.
I think on the flip side of this, you say people will target Poore and this will last with him for a long time, I think it also sends the message out that you can't pull Bailey stunts when Poores on the pitch. I don't think we'll see Bailey trying those tactics again do you? Grabbing hold of people and provoking fights? Unless he is really silly and does want another "small cut", so therefore, isn't Poore going to render your super tool useless when it really matters?

| There are several fallacies in play here:
1. Ryan Bailey is the RL equivalent of The Shadow, deployed by Brian Mac specifically for his masterful ability to 'cloud mens minds.' He isn't.
2. Justin Poore is an out of control hothead, who will be a liability to WTW; he isn't and he won't.
3. The game mattered at all; it didn't.
If posters from both camps remembered these basic truths, the whole thread would be significantly less ridiculous.

plenty of players have cracked bailey "good and proper" the point you lot (and plenty of other teams fans) miss is the fact that bailey gets up and plays on, the 'hero' gets to watch the game for the sideline for 10 mins or the rest of the game. who's the real winner?
bailey (and his team mates) knows that they're playing a team sport where taking one for the team, quite literally on many occasions, is all part of coming out on top.
I'm stating he'll will get targeted, the fact it was his first red card, makes it even worse. he's shown every coach in the league that he's come over here thinking he's better than everyone else (which is a great attitude to have btw) however he couldn't actually handle the attention of been targeted. whether he reacts the same way again or not is up to him, and to a certain extent relatively pointless, but it'll certainly affect his game as every team will target him - extra men in the tackle, sly digs, off the ball extras, etc.
now you're just being stupid, i can guarantee that bailey will have a dig the very first tackle they're both involved in next game, to the extent that bailey will go out of his way to get involved in the tackle even if he's not required.
