The plans shown in June mirror pretty much the work thats due to be done. I think Elston mentioned the full length of the western terrace was to be covered but Sky vetoed that idea due to the camera position. I asked if the location of the camera could be switched to the East stand instead but apparently the sun rendered that solution impractical.

For anyone who could critise James Elston you have to say he does talk very well and does so with feeling of a wakefield fan not just a adminstrator. He means what he says and does try and answer any questions he gets, along with a desire to make things BETTER...well done James I applaud you for that

The squad is complete, although if a suitable player that would improve the team then they would look at it. I got the impression he was talking about a prop.

Work on the foundations for the stands starts Monday.

Club shop to move nearer to reception.

He aims to grow the crowd average by a thousand a year over the franchise period.

We've sold 2000 shirts which is pretty much all they ordered based on recent years sales. More will be ordered.

Spoke how club 1873 has enabled players like Adam Slater to become part of the first team squad and allowed us to attract some of the top 16 year old players in the the area.

Gareth Moore is still part of the squad and has been restricted with his training by a back injury that he has has since last year.

And probably other stuff i've forgotten.

All positive stuff about players in the community and the younger players developing at WTW without being attracted to Hudds. Constantly moving forward as a club etc etc. Foundations for temp stands being done on Monday.

Regarding the temporary stands- me and my brother in law were reminiscing today and recall back in the 60's of plans to cover the North terrace, in fact it was reported in the Wakefield Express (if you chose to believe it!) that the roof trusses had actually been delivered! Wander if they are finally going to use them?!

Elston also explained that due to Health and Safety reasons the seating in front of the flats is currently not feasible (ambulance access requirements).

He also talked a bit about Ewan Dowes. Basically Elston told Agar that if he wants Dowes then he needs to fit in with the budget otherwise Agar needs to find some money from somewhere. No extra money found and the budget restraint equalled a no fit for Dowes.

There will be a club meeting with fans (next week I think) to discuss and show where the Club 1873 funds have been going and how they are helping the club.

I found Elston to be very open and didn't avoid answering any questions. Many of the recent queries on here were addressed openly.

For me it was a good hours listening.

Once again Jimmy was spot on hes been through the tough times with the club . The stuff the Richardsons tried to make him do ; which even he said was a disgrace now he has rose above and is doing a cracking job selling the club !!! Through the franchise result he had many tough months of questions not once has he dissapointed me !

Yes, it was a very interesting to listen to and he always talks well with loads of enthusiasm about the club, loads of positives and laid a few rumors to rest. Well done Jimmy.

So apparently the design was no good ? That sounds like good planning. Now it will take another 5 weeks to get a new design ???

Wakefield should do what Widnes did - spend money on the ground, not on players. What a good investment it has turned out to be for them, and at least when you part with your money there you are not being fleeced.

What a joke Wakefield are, lets hope the RFL see it next time.

Maybe the local council could get lucky and get a cash windfall and build them a super stadium to use.

No need to go in for planning again, its 5 weeks from order to completion of the instalation of the covers. I believe the designs were signed off last week and one final thing it was a club imposed deadline for the stands to be ready for the start of the season and the RFL are fully aware of the situation.

I wouldn't bother mate, waste of time.
