The problem I have with an Aussie ref is that due to having two of them in their weekly games in the NRL, they've become de-skilled; they're not used to having oversight of the whole game. That and their blatant bias of course - I'm looking at you Mr Archer.

I can't see anything other than an Australia win. But even if England do pull off an unlikely triumph it will mean absolutely nothing to me with players like Chase in the side.

Unfortunately we do not have the same standard of comp. as the Aussies have and diluting GB into England Scotland Wales and Ireland further weakens us, so we shouldn't be averse to a little bit of help here and there if we want to be competitive. Can't see many rugby league fans not giving a damn about the result though.

I don't care about Australia and what they do, and just because others do it it doesn't make it right.

And I really do wonder about the morals of some people, people like yourself who clearly don't have a problem with mercenaries representing our national side. The same mercenaries who were eager to represent their own country until their own country deemed them not good enough, or even worse, were deemed unworthy due to off field behaviour. But for whatever reason they are now representing my country. I will never be happy with that.

why oh why do we persist with 'take the tackle' Sinfield?

If we keep our composure when Auz hit our flanks at pace, we could take this. Tomkins has to pick his game up tho.

Thurston is some player. Tell him to hit any square foot of grass via a kick or pass and he will do it everytime.

Well this is a waste of money... Predictable rugby, crap kicking sinfield, tomkins playing cack, and crowd leaving in the hundreds. Same story every year we need to man up and give them some.

Forget the last 3 scores the kicking game was key for me, Aussie split the defenders everytime. Sinners put it down Boyd's throat each time. Auz are superior but they are reluctant to use their strong wide game within their own 40.

I do actually think we may have improved slightly, although NZ have gone backwards, and Aus won at a cantor.
Chase and Sinfield gave us nothing all competition yet widdop doesnt get a sniff, neither did Morley and Peacock and carvell is on the bench too.
A fit Sam Burgess would have made us a much tougher proposition, and overall I think our threaquarters were ok too.
Time for a big re think, there are things to be positive about, but we are desperate for young British players to get some decent footy time.

I reckon our whole game needs a radical overhaul. We need to stem the tide of second rate foreigners coming over here because they can't get a game in their own country (and we should know, as we're guilty of it as much as anyone else). It might set us back for a few years in the short term, but unless we do something drastic then I can't see us getting close to the Aussies. Sacking McNamara would be a good start.

What we need to do is bring over some second rate Aussies and they'll teach our young guns out to play and in the mean time keep them out of the side



Widdop must wonder what he's done wrong, one of the high spots of tonights game, watching a player take them on instead of watching Chase hide and Sinfield try but fail.

I bet the Aussies are laughing at Tompkins being billed as one of the worlds best, I reckon he'd struggle to play 1st grade if he went to NRL. Boyd showed him how the role should be done. Chase ran scared, and we won't talk about Sinfield. Roby looks like the only player with a bit of class.

No need to teach the young ones, in three years time we can just pick the second rate Aussies and everyone is happy. It saves us wasting time on our own.
