I have even[i less[/i interest in England RL than I did yesterday (and I didn't think that was possible!)

I have very little interest in a game that won't promote from within, in this case ENGLAND.

I could probably play for the USA due to spending so much time at Disney over the years. What an utter joke and insult to Nationalism.

England team with english players. They can now fill the team with foreign players who have lived in england for 3 years, give our own lads a chace.

This just enhances my view that international Rugby League is a joke.

Dont blame the player blame the RL who have failed to expand the game and have for years allowed too many over seas players into the league using spurious ways to get them off quota, e.g Willie Mason who thought he could pretend he was from Tonga, Korki who had Greek heritage, to name just 2. Start closing the loop holes and reducing the quota and we may start to bring through and develop our own players.

And don't pretend the Aussies don't do it either Petero Civoniceva & Lote Tuqiri = Fijian. John Hopoate & Antonio Kaufusi = Tongan. Karmichael Hunt, Big Willie Mason & Tony Carroll = all Kiwis. Magic El Masri = Lebanese. Have all pulled on the Green and Gold Jersey and One of Aussies greatest ever players and captain Warrington born Bobby Fulton.

And to those who have enjoyed the success of the England Cricket team over the last 18 months maybe you would like to check the nationality of various players.

The win at all costs attitude has mean't that we no longer stick to the "you gotta be English to play for England"

I agree, just because other countries do it doesn't mean we should. I have quite strong views on this and have had heated debates regarding matters such like this.....most recently regarding athletics with Mo Farah.

You are born in a country, that should be your origin and if you are not 'GOOD' enough to make the grade with them well it's tough stuff....get on with it.

It is a complete joke, I for one am losing interest rapidly in the international game.

I agree with you totally but lets not lose sight of the real problem the 'system' and the rfl who bend rules and change the goals posts to suit

I don't understand how any player could pull on another countries shirt.

How could a coach trust a player who disrespect is own country and why would other players want to stand alongside him.

rangi chase ... found guilty of assault to a female..BIG guy! hope he gets more crap than sam t got at headingley...i don't know if i am correct but he already has a work visa for cas..if he were to move to another club would that not involve applying for another work visa that probably would be declined..please correct me if i am wrong but how the hell can he be english?? i know birth certs in cas have similar names and generally can be photo copied for the family name but he can't even speak cas..and doesn't qualify on fingers or toes either

Its already been said on here, but Rangi Chase is not and never will be English.
If the RFL are serious about developing the international game then this sort of thing is unacceptable. At least find a grandparent with an English accent.
Plus, how will the real English lads ever gain experience.

Chase playing for England is not the issue. Players like Korkidas and those of his skill level are. Those are the players (and more importantly the coaches who sign them) stopping progression into the national side because they can't get in their club sides.

Why single out the player? He was invited to play, he didn't ask to.

No green eyed monster here. Rangi Chase is a class act and I would be delighted if he payed for us and I have no problem with him being Man of Steel - I would go further and say I think he thoroughly deserves it.

But what he does not deserve is to play for England. I may be old fashioned but I'm English. I was born in England as was my Father and Mother and I'm proud to be English. I cannot accept that someone who comes over here to earn a living can after a few years play for the National Team. I don't care if Australia do it, England Cricket do it or whoever, its wrong in my opinion.

What next a team of antipodeans who have been over here for a few years play and beat Australia as England - what a hollow victory that would be and I'd rather continue to lose as a team of Englishmen and retain some pride and credibility.

The RFL are a laughing stock in my eyes and I no longer have any interest in the International game.

Stop Moaning we might actually win something with the quality of Rangi if you had him you would not be posting anti cas literature

I know in the cricket team there has been a lot of criticism but at least in most those cases they have at least one English parents and in a lot of occasions like Strauss the England Captain, his parents moved back to England when he was kid after they were working abroad . Someone changing nationalities later in life and for what seem weak reasons at best should be a no no.
