I would say the Ali titi signing has definitely had a little recommend from Willie P, either to the club or the player.

I wasn't criticising the description, just the rules.

Unsure about this one, on the one hand he has the potential for us and has an undoubted amount of skill and flair - something we desperately need. If he is fit and interested he could change the game and potentially win them on his own in the same way Sol used to do (but maybe not as often!) - something that you can't put a value on, and he is also bloody entertaining.

On the other hand, he probably wont be cheap, he is injury prone and you could question his motivation - maybe better with a young one on his way up rather than an older one on his way down, but I suppose thats easier said than done.

Worrying for me though is the number of imports we could potentially go with next year if we dont ship another couple out, although you do need your imports to be special rather than workmanlike and this guy has qualities you rarely find in a UK based player.

Time will tell I suppose, but welcome aboard and lets hope the injury fairy is kind to him and the ginge.

I know, but the rules as described are clear, the 'interpretation' however is the bit that gets me - the Stosic/Mason sagas - when a clearly foreign player can use the rules to become exempt but a player born in England and brought up in Aus is foreign

I totally agree - the Mason debacle has shown that anyone with a small amount of nouse and sufficient brass neck can blatantly flout the rules, whilst remaining within the letter of them.

Officially yes, he learned his rugby in Aus, therefore is Non Fed trained, whether he got dispensation for time served I am not sure. His brother went through appeal when removed from Cas as part of the reasoning was he took a quota place IIRC

Pleased with this signing, He has the X factor that very few forwards have.

I love the way he is always smiling and obviously loves playing - if some of his joy of playing rubs off onto the rest of the squad it'll stand us in good stead. My tip for fans favourite next year!

When we beat them at BV last season, he had a good crack with my son; the lad was sledging him and he kept turning round and pulling faces at him - seemed like a good natured sort.
