The point I was making oh wise and knowledgeable one, is that if we were so terrible how come we only lost by 2 points, and their halves stood out little more than ours?

The point of this post was to highlight the pitfall of ending up on a downward spiral of feeling sorry for ourselves. It appears that we were not able to rise above this and we all saw what the result of that was.

Let's hope the lesson is learned before friday!

There's only so many times we can shake ourselves up after repeat losses. We need some points on the table fast.

That said I am still enjoying the effort in display but it's getting increasingly testing.

To be fair we've probably already got more points than anyone expected and we've had some fantastic wins. Without a decent scrum half wins will be few and far between but it could and probably should be a lot worse!

agreed, we have also unearthed some gems in moranio, howarth, dean and johnson, but the honeymoon period for the none die hards is beginning to end, results count as does value for money and comparative entertainment, hard times ahead for the rest of the season but by god ive enjoyed this one so far, well done every single player for me!!!

We are about where I expected us to be at this stage in the season so far but my expectations haven't been exceeded but more met.

I'm of the opinion we've over achieved so far this season, and that Sunday was just a reality check for us. The lads have tried hard this season with limited ability, and this hard work, along with a bit of luck, has seen us pick up wins which we probably didn't expect. As fans I think we've become a little too optmistic, and need to accept that there are probably going to be a lot more performances like Sunday between now and the end of the season.
