As far as MD goes I can't see him playing at HKR again this season & if he gets a better offer he could go for good. Which could be karma for the way they appear to be running against the rules, but these are hard times for most clubs tbf.

AG has the money, this would be a massive statement of intent.

This is fantasy land - all of the statements that are being made are designed to demonstrate that HKR and the RFL are following the correct procedures, and are for the benefit of the outside world; there'll be some kind of compromise agreement in place with Dobson, that stops him from signing for anyone else and no doubt, he's being paid as a consultant or some similar arrangement whilst deregistered.

The RFL are complicit in HKR's shameless rule-bending, to accommodate another big name Aussie has-been, because they think it will attract interest in the sport. It's all a bit embarassing.

He may well be a free-agent but he doesn't have to sign for someone else if he doesn't want to and then, when he's fit again, I'm sure the RFL will sanction his re-registration.

But if someone else came in with a better offer.... Who will HKR blame then?? Us? The RFL? Or they could just blame the monitory system itself (-this sort of thing wouldn't happen in a resource based economy!

I'm sorry but why would MD want to leave a club with genuine play off and cup ambitions for a club who many see as the ones to get tge chop cone tge end of this season? I really cannot see anyone of any real quality wanting to join us this season. Unfortunately they are the plain and simple but hard to swallow facts. People need to get back in to the real world

Personally I think you've forgotten what makes the world go round.
Something we had in short supply before but have in abundance now. MONEY.

If MD could get say £1000 pw more from us until the end of the season then why not? With a season based round him he could demand the same sort of money from another club next year (should we not be here).

Besides a short game of "musical chairs" (say a move to us- followed by a move to say Wire in 2012) would provide in reality 2 pay days for him (& his agent). And we all know how big a force agents can be in the modern game.

I'm sorry but money isn't everything. Look at Ellis, apparently we offered him more than Leeds but he went to better himself. What could md achieve behind a workmanlike but beaten pack every week? He could quite possibly devalue himself!

Didn't we do the same with jd? Can't see the problem with it really. They did this in order to get him to debut at home and cash in on it. Forward thinking really. If masons Tongan passport never materialises then maybe they will have problems and they'd have to release another overseas player in order to reregister dobson

It stinks.Why the rule changes for certain clubs?First a rule change about applying for a franchise when been in admin(to suit crusaders),now this,but yet the RFL will quite happily see us sail down the river never to be seen again.
