Small crowd if you took the near 4,000 Wire fans out of the equation, at first I thought it was funny that the arrogant Giants were getting smashed (with fans leaving with 30 mins to play) but I felt sorry for them by the end. It was cruel.

Broughy looked absolutely crestfallen at the end of the game.
The timing of his move from Wakefield to Huddersfield was obviously set so that he wouldn't get cup tied by playing for Trinity in the earlier rounds. Broughy seemed to have set his sights on a return to Wembley with the Giants but the best laid plans of mice and scrum halfs etc etc

Absolutely - a fine example of a coach wanting more, rather than appreciating what was right under his nose.

In Brown and Robinson they had a fantastic combination who worked really well together. That formula has been compromised by Broughy's arrival - and it just shows that there is a lot more to the job than merely buying everything that is available.

Thought the Wire pack did well not to be intimidated by Shudds Enforcer Keith Mason. That move where he blocked Lee Briers kick with his face was a classic.
