I watched JD in the dug out when Kyle dropped it, he laughed and rubbed his hands as if to say you are going to get it for that young man, Kyle will get some stick from the lads for that howler but he will learn and if you are going to do something that stupid the you deserve it.

I must admit that I was set to go all week but gave it a miss at the last minute because I knew it would be one way traffic nobody wants to see that unless its Leeds we are beating

We were discussing the same thing at the game and the general consensus of opinion was that in the current economic climate, with three games in seven days coming up a lot of people would have probably had to choose one to miss. Everyone was confident of a good win against Leigh, so it would have been the obvious choice.

Thought there looked to be at least 4k

I wasnt there friday but it was strange that Frank never came on you you would have thought that it would have been a perfect game for him. It will be tough if he gets thrown in straight away against CAS. All the lad wants to do is play. Strange 1 by Kear is that.

Still don't get your point, Bibb had proved he didn't need to do that because he easily got over the try line, what happened after that is one for a question of sports what happened next. Are you suggesting that at 30+ points up he shouldn't have backed himself, if so I remain perplexed.

I must be missing something here then, as I remember it differently to that. From what I recall, Bibb made the break after barging through around 35m out, backed himself to get to the line and score. Got to the line but the defender dislodged the ball in the tackle - preventing the try.

Did I miss something?

Donlan knocked the ball out of his hands but did not affect the tackle, Kyle was guilty of a loose carry and droped the ball.

If he had carried the ball correctly it would not have been dislodged by Donlan.

Thats just my view.

We didn't get many more for the quarter final against Oldham and that was on a Sunday. I think it's the poor state of the broccoli tree that is keeping the crowds away.

Maybe I am giving too much credit to the defender then, I saw it as a pretty good effort from him - hence the 'greed' comment. I still think he should have passed, for me getting into good hibbits is important, I understand why he did it - I would have done the same! Its not too important and he will learn, but I still say he didn't 'make it'.......

Give it time. It is early season for the broccoli tree, I'd rather it peaked at the business end of the season.

Why risk a pass when you have a clear path to the line, Bibb simply didn't put the ball down with any haste and got caught out with an oppertunist ball punch. Had he passed and the supporting player who then knocked on I'm sure you would have moened as to why he didn't back himself.

Just accept that Bibbs no try was a huge schoolboy error and leave it at that, why make a drama and add to the blame, I'm sure he feels silly enough as it is .

OK - as it happens I was perfectly sighted and in all honesty he made a pigs ear of what should have been one of the better tries in the game - never mind if that's the worst error he ever makes he will have a good career.

Thought myself that even had he touched down that the other try he had a big hand in would have still been far and away the best. Was really impressed with the link between Scully, Bibb and Latu for the late (last?) try - thought he showed a real nice touch and quick hands. Was nice to see us thinking about the pass, rather than passing for the sake if it as we have done at times. Dare I say it, it even looked like it could have been a planned move! The determination from all three of them was great to see.

All in all, a pleasing result - no apparent injuries and a nice run out before the biggest game of the season so far on Friday. Lets hope that Keighley give Cas more of a test than Leigh gave us so the 2 extra days rest comes into play, but I doubt it.
