Yeah he does seem excited that's great, but he prob did not expect some one to put exactly what he said on a forum word for word.

If clubs sorted out visas don't you think Bird, Eastwood, Crocker et al would have one by now???

Clubs have nothing to do with sorting out a players visa.

More from a clubs point on view though. But that is fromt he experience I have had.

They will keep in touch with the player and would have some contact with the people that sort visas out.

Depends what is said though....

Posting on internet about new player excited about playing for club = probably ok, in fact, good PR with supporters.
Posting on internet inside gossip told in confidence etc. = probably not ok.

Would have thought the club would have update there website with the info. So the fans are in the know on how things are going.

You'd need to ask the press office at the club why they do or don't do that. In this case I imagine there's no point having daily updates on 'still waiting for clearance.....'

Well it has been a while since the club hace said owt.

An update saying "waiting for clearance but the deal is still on should be completed in next few days" or something a long that lines.

im with the keep quiet angle, i want to know when deals are definate and / or a player is sorted.

the club are on a high at the moment for all the right reasons, why would the press office want to not ride that wave? why dull it in any way with a "actually theres a problem" story?

the press office is there to manage the media not to feed the fans frenzy, maybe thats what this place does?

Dont think it's bad news tbh. Things seem to be moving in the right direction and at a guess I would say he would be over in time for the Saints game.

So am i BUT start of this season we had fans screaming on here that club did not tells us of players coming in and the fact that the club did not scream from the rooftops about any players (possible/targets)signings like other clubs, so you can't just win.
