Damian Blanch certainly surprised me as top performer for the bench press. He certainly put the forwards to shame!!! Also, if this is a report of the last week then Moore’s results are positive in that he appears to have lost little of his strength. Would be interesting to know what he could lift prior to his illness.

I think it was prior illness tbh, as I doubt he's been training when he's lost over 2 stone.

No mention on Stosic on the bench press which is a suprise. I wonder what Watene was lifting when he was here, would be interesting to find out. VEry impressed once again by Mr Sanctuary top notch column. Scully looks in shape looks very trim on that last picture. Bibey highest on squats hope we see some leg drive this year then

oh and another positive Luke George must be back doing sprints. I hope that lad is mentally prepared after that awful injury, i think we could have a very good player on our hands there.

Sandal Castle was the grand old duke. Hence the old Trinity training facility on the Duke of York fields a stones throw off the Duke of York pub.

Origins of the Rhyme

The words of the Nursery rhyme are believed to refer to Richard, Duke of York, claimant to the English throne and Protector of England and the Battle of Wakefield on December 30, 1460. The Duke of York and his army marched to his castle at Sandal where Richard took up a defensive position against the Lancastrian army. Sandal Castle was built on top of the site of an old Norman motte and bailey fortress. Its massive earthworks stood 33 feet (10m) above the original ground level ("he marched them up to the top of the hill"icon_wink.gif. In a moment of madness he left his stronghold in the castle and went down to make a direct attack on the Lancastrians " he marched them down again". His army was overwhelmed and Richard the Duke of York was killed
