I truly despair.

Not sure if your post is out of frustration by the above poster or if you have finally realised that nothing is worth more than your family, it must be soul destroying fighting an uphill battle when all the time people who you are fighting for are chipping away with negative comments' choose how harmless they thought they were, if indeed you have finally decided to walk away then who can blame you, certainly not me, thanks for your marvellous efforts' and good luck for the future, go and spend time with those who really appreciate and deserve you

By implying that it is people on here driving are away the man trying to make a difference. All they are doing are showing their frustrations at the people who put them in this position i.e. Yorkcourt and to some degree the council through a lack of support. It is a lot of peoples opinion and now expectation that just like countless times before we will end up with sod all. If TRB and co. want to keep fighting it for another 10 years good on them, they really are heroes and will always have our support. But it doesn't alter mine and many other peoples opinions that they are fighting a losing battle if the the law is on the side of the other camp as seems to be the case given the council took legal advice and let the Newcold development happen. I'll say again, nobody is having a pop at them, they are though about the situation we have been put in.

Let's put it this way...if we achieve something, either a new build or a substantial redevelopment of BV, it will be because of people like TRB.

If we don't, it most definitely not be because of people like TRB.

They are getting flack for not only daring to to dream, but to also trying to do something to make that dream happen.

The rest of us just dream...then moan on the Internet when it doesn't pan out.

Correct although TRB & co. are not the target of the flack, Yorkcourt and the council are. Given our many previous false starts and now this then it is hardly a surprise people are expecting nothing, especially so given what appears to have gone on by the developer to circumnavigate their responsiblilites.

I know for a fact that TRB has not raised the white flag and we will continue the quest.

I appreciate it's a forum and people can post their opinions and I'll support the right of people to do so however much I may disagree with those opinions.

If you find this whole process frustrating just think how we feel but I can assure anyone who thinks we have been taken for fools is way off the mark.

We may up with nothing, we may end up with a new stadium or a redeveloped Belle Vue or something in between but sure as hell if we give up now and lie down and die I guarantee that we will end up with NOTHING which will leave Wakefield Trinity with a very uncertain future.

Quite frankly I've given up caring what people think the outcome of all this will be. All I know is that myself, TRB, IA and a few others will not give up and will do whatever we can to see something positive come out of this for the Citizens and Community of Wakefield.

If we fail then at least I'll know that I did my best but to end on a positive note I'm confident that we will not fail.

I tried the 'patience' line and it fell on deaf ears, so I thought I'd try a different approach!

Thank you to all of you for putting up with this crap for so long, but I can assure you that we are far from ready to raise any white flags, in fact we are engaging battle right now and, as in any battle, it is impossible to know the exact outcome.

Things are moving faster now than they have for 4 years right now! I think we are approaching the top of the hill and will soon feel the wind in our sails - as such, now would be a silly time to give in.

It's easy to doubt the developer (and with good reason); it's easy to fault the council (which we have at times), but ultimately we need to work with them to get something from this deal. Talks are now beginning to happen again - which has to be a good sign!

We are Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, no-one likes us, and we don't give a #%€$!

I'm easy! No-one has upset me really. I fully understand the negatives and why people feel let down and demoralised about the whole thing. I also understand people being sick of me banging the drum - we've been at it a long time, but I still believe, albeit the final picture may not be as we originally intended.

Just to clarify my original thread was not intended as "having a go" at anyone that gives their time over many years on behalf of us all to get something that will benefit all fans of the club. It was simply to ask how a developer can build something that looks nothing like the original drawings and manages to build it outside of a "watertight" agreement. TRB has answered that. Thank you.

Not quite, from an outsider looking in the more I discover how much you have been shafted the more I want you to win and I think more and more neutrals are thinking the same way. Its just a shame that some of the so called fans on here don't feel the same. You have been knocked down and disbelieved more times than Rocky Balboa and yet still you keep getting back up and fighting for the very people that slag you off. Keep punching TRB and good luck.
