| What do you mean 'TED AS THE MONEY FROM THE GROUND SALE'. The club have had a portion of the money from the ground sale - which has been spent on the day to day running of the club as well as paying off bank loans. The remainder of the money due (shown as debtors on WT's balance sheet) is still with the purchaser of Belle Vue ie they have not yet paid it.

Absolute ballcocks. BV was an asset of the club before being sold to Cala Homes & therefore the CLUB are the ones who receive the money for the sale of the ground NOT Ted. The club have used the money received to date to repay the bank and other creditors.
I'm prepared to accept that there may be an extremely modest amount compared to the hundreds of thousands received to date that MIGHT have been paid to Ted on or around the date some funds were received from Cala. I obviously don't know if this is the case or not (and personally I doubt this has happened), but if it is I'm certain that this is coincidence rather than Ted taking a "cut" of the funds.

You have come out with some complete crap before but this is the best yet. I am not a Ted fan but to say that is a joke.
I believe everyone is entitled to there opinion but you never have anything positive or indeed accurate to say I really don't know why you bother.
What you have to remember is there are some really hard working people at the club who are worried about there jobs but instead of sitting back are working hard to do there best to get out of this mess , this come on here and see of the crap you write and think what's the point.
I was told but somebody at the club yesterday that they have sold 500 adult season tickets this year, that is one of the main reasons we are in this mess.

Despite the fact that James "I'm a real boy!" Elston sat in front of us at the public meeting last year and confidently stated that we'd sold more season tickets at that point than at the same time the previous year? I believe it even got a round of applause.
Someone is telling porkies.

| I do feel for the true Wakey fans, but I think you may be starting to understand that certain people have led certain people up a garden path.
Whatever the fans are able to decide/control in the near future, do not let any Knights in Shining Armour near the club.

they might've sold loads of concession season tickets, which although may be spining things doesn't make the boast incorrect. It doesn't escape the fact that marketing or no marketing that figure is appalling and is one of the main reasons why the club struggles.

"On to something" with his accusations - afraid not
"On something" - possibly, as is anyone else who believes that the bank would release the charge they had on the ground without seeing the money it was owed in return.

| WT had a 'long term' bank loan secured against Belle Vue, so that once we 'sold' this fixed asset then obviously the bank would want their loan back. WT then paid off the amount owing to the bank ie the sale of the ground paid off the £725,000 loan. HTH.

Loyalty is a two way thing. What have the club done this off season to deserve any more. In fact they have probably over performed by selling 500 with the ineot way they have marketed the club.

This is incorrect. At the shareholders meeting, Mr. Elston stated categorically that we had sold only 215 season tickets. This was even used as an illustration of how we lag behind other SL clubs - those specifically mentioned were Leeds and Hull who both sell over 6000 season tickets per season. Our income from season tickets is miniscule compared to most other SL clubs (I believe Ted stated that we only make about £160,000). This means, of course, we have far less cash during the off season and consequently why we have been relying on a windfall payment from a developer. I think the various "membership" levels of season ticket we came up with this year was simply confusing and poorly marketed. We should have gone for a straightforward cheap deal to bring in the cash quickly, something like Bradford's masterstroke perhaps.

| was it clarified if the 215 season tickets were full paying adult tickets or does this figure include junior passes as these would obviously further reduce the revenue as they are sold at a reduced rate through both the club and the partnerships with junior rugby teams within the area.

Whatever your thoughts on the rights or wrongs of the current board, most of us want whats best for the club and that means support. Having only 500 adult season tickets not only highlights why the club struggle to retain talent but also why they walk a fine line financially. Just 1500 more season ticket sales, which for a club like Trinity should be the minimum, would've given the club an extra £270k to play with.

| sorry i mis understood thought it mean't that from the 215 tickets sold 160k had already been raised.
The problem now is anyone who was hanging on to buy their season ticket after the xmas expense will now not part with their money until the future is clear, talk about a catch 22 situation.
Have you got any friendly games planned? maybe the fans can show support by turning up in numbers to these to help put some extra money into the club.

Yes we do have freindly games and the key to their success is not to overprice the entrance fee . I would suggets £12 for asuldts and £5 for kids

not realy material to the problem anyway but yet another example of how the clubs cash flow predictions have been unreasonable if true.
very discouraged at present about whosoever ends up running this club is going to find when they get their hands on all the detail, given up trying to work it out myself, because none of it looks good.

Pricing must be one of the trickiest parts to get right.
For example, if we rely on a hardcore gate of 5,000, going from £18 to £20 produces a guaranteed extra £130,000 a season . But if we kept it at £18, we would only have to attract 555 extra fans each week to end up at the same end of season gate receipts (and that is excluding any extras from shirts and burgers). So does £20 put off 555 people every home game? Possibly.
If the gate price was reduced to £15, you would say goodbye to £325,000 a season. Or to look at it another way, you would need to attract 1,666 extra fans to break even on gate receipts. In reality, you would need 2,000 extra to be better off doing it. Would £15 draw an extra 2,000 in a game? Possibly.
Maybe £17 is the right price. Would lose £195,000 a season if the crowd didn't change, but would need only 882 extra fans to end up at the same figure, plus burger and drinks and shirts, etc.
