Your statement made perfect sense to me regarding the Sun not printing the facts of the story, I think they misunderstood you and it got tangeled from there.

Get Kear on the toot & plute show tonight stating the Wakefield's stance on all this and see what happen's from the players side.

End of day we all want the same and that is for OUR club to do well both on and off the pitch. Our opinions may differ at times on here but we all love Wakey and hate to see things like this happen

If only the club had either released a statement giving the full story rather than releasing one which made this mess worse than it should have been....that or just claimed they had groin strains and left it at that. No need for it to have been blown to this proportion.

The club did right letting us know the truth instead of covering up and letting the players off the hook!!!

the story was in the sun maybe they rung the club for a statement and yesterday before a full dissaplinary that was there statement . they just got it out before the sun did

I'm not sure why this makes Wakefield look bad.

We have two players who have broken club rules and have been disciplined for it. That tells me we have a club (or at least a coach) who is willing to have a disciplined set up and then back up his own rules regardless of who the players are.
If this means that we have a more disciplined approach in future then it is a good policy (even if we lose the Hudds game because of it)

I realise it is only Sun rumour but if the excuse for breaking the rules are that the booze was there so it was too much temptation then they need to seek other kinds of help for that problem. It's hardly being forced upon them.
In the past it has been different but even lower level teams these days know that drinking alcohol after a game is not great rehab. When you want to play social rugby of course go on the lash and have a curry but not when you are aiming to be a professional sportsman.

In cases like these, Not disciplining the players involved has a worse affect on the rest of the team who are following the rules.

Without really knowing for sure what happened, and to be honest it's not really my business, I'm happy Kear has shown integrity and stood up for the rules he has imposed.

I think most people would agree with you there. The disappointing thing - other than the incident itself - is the way the information has subsequently been managed, IMO.

Disagree it is making your club look professional.john Kear is a well respected coach and he has made a decision he is the gaffer and the players need to respect that no matter who they are.

John keare has shown nothing but respect for our club. In the past players have not respected the club and imo john is trying to stamp this out and create a proffesional club. The players have broken the rules and got punished.

Just as a matter of interest, how many breweries sell beer in 1/2 pint cans? In my limited experience

the can capacity is a little more than this, so if I drank 6 cans then I would be consuming a bit more than 3 pints. Anyone want to assist me in putting this EU/UK litres versus pints question to the test? At your expense of course and non of this lager stuff either.

I voted for Scully but that was one game. I like him and think he is a good player. However if Kear feels the club would be better off without him then I back Kear 100%.

It Doesn't Really Matter If The Beer Was In The Fridge Or Elsewere Or Hiden. JK Said No Drinking, So That Means No Drinkin, That Goes To Everyone, Not Everyone Accept Brough And Sculthorpe.
Danny Brough And Danny Sculthorpe Broke The Club Rules So Therefore Should Take The Punishment. They're Proffesional Rugby Players, Not 2 High School Kids. From What I Have Read On Here, Danny Brough Has Taken It On The Chin, Because There Is No Reaction From Brough. Where As Sculthorpe Hasn't And Needs To Big Up And Take It. Sculthorpe Should Have More Sense In Drinking Seeing As He Is Diabetic.
