That first 20 minutes is the worst i have ever seen from a Wakefield team.
Its plain for all to see that teams are targeting our right edge and Brough in particular, throw Pauli into the mix next to him and the gaps between pauli, brough and lyne are huge. I feel a bit sorry for BJB because he is being left exposed and it isnt his fault. Look at the last 2 games, Ollie Holmes and Liam Farrell have had field days.

Last night i though Tanginoa was excellent, he is clearly a very good player but because we are so devoid of attacking threat we can only see him in glimpses. Anakin also ran it in well but it says a lot that Fifita playing on 1 leg was more effective than the rest of our team.
Something needs to change and quick whether it be playing roster or coaching staff because if it doesn't there is only one place we are heading and that is for relegation.

Watching that took me back to my involvement in junior rugby, where you spend weeks coaching basic defence - numbering up, staying alert, sliding etc - and then half the lads turn up for a match having stayed up all night playing X-Box, wired on Lucozade Sport and Haribo - and seem to forget everything they've been taught.

It was such a pathetic and embarrassing opening 20, that I switched off at half time and watched the Brexit documentary instead.

Agree Bren. Whatever the issue it has not been dealt with and festered. It seems a lack of confidence to drop swap and change the structure would be top of the list but who knows.

Defensively we are shambolic. It's a good point on Brough & Pauli, they were exposed last night just like at Catalans, Pauli in particular has the mobility of a barge the way he grabs at players is embarrassing.

I still can't get over the poor tackling technique on Gildart having caught up with him and to try to nudge him out instead tackling around the waist or legs was more than p!ss poor

I've been screaming this for weeks and I know I annoyed MC. But basics are basics and unless you implement them you can't call yourself an RL player you simply can't. That's the real lack of effort, injuries don't excuse that, some of the errors we make would embarrass a schoolboy team.

I think it was Bill Shankly who said "if a player needs motivating to play for this great club, he shouldn't be here".

Got to agree the defending as been a shambles in last 2 month .do not think it's down to Chester I think it's more down to the help or lack of it from is.back room staff.Could any body tell me how long Dickens ext have been at the club because they are way out of there depth for S L .Been watching Wakey for 60 + years and do think that on present form we will go down.We have got the best people in charge ever , one of the best squads I have seen at B V but the people who are helping with the coaching are way out of there depth

Chester is the main man the boss he will stand or fall by his decisions not the back room staff, hel be going through the videos trying to right the wrongs but ultimately it’s results that count the bloke was an intelligent player and at the moment he can’t find the right answers and as a coach it’s soul destroying but he’s got to look inside himself and find a way, if he can’t he will know when the time is up

Whilst I like Pauli for the 3 runs per game that he does

, his defence is pathetic to say the least, but on that one, Gildart had a gap of about 20 metres to get around Pauli, as BJB and Reece were both markers at the play the ball. Other players should have seen that and come across to assist Pauli.
