Yes, it would be good to hear something from the club, regarding the subject. It has been a little while since we had any updates.

It may stop all the guessing games on here and on the terraces. Not only that, it may give some peace of mind for players, coaches and staff, in knowing their long term home is secure. Im sure Michael and Chris are saying not to worry and focus on job at hand, but at the end of the day they are humans, and it would be human nature to have concern.

There is the saying though too, no news is good news.

The club will have to announce shortly where we are playing next season as season tickets will be on sale soon.

Probably because some of the keyboard warriors on here, that have never lifted a finger to help the club out couldn't resist having sly digs at any opportunity!

There's no doubt that one or two had a go, but I firmly believe that the vast majority held all those members of the trust, and others involved, in the highest esteem.
I think it's more likely they have decided to stay in the background to see what develops - I hope they don't get bored!

You are not far off the mark there. As far as I am aware as of the end of last week there have been no further developments. Just business as normal where the council have continued to tell lie after lie, and ignore deadline after deadline.


One member of the trust summed it up perfectly in that, 'We have a council who have no interest in seeing a stadium built in Wakefield, but worse than that they are going out of their way to make sure one never gets built'


This final bit is my opinion in that we are in it to play the long game in the hope that Box leaves by one way or another and then maybe we will get some people in charge who will do what is right for the community that votes them in and pays their wages.

I simply don't understand the whole business. I find it incredibly difficult to understand what has happened at NM, the apparent deceit regarding BV, and then a suggestion for Balne Lane completely out of the Blue! After that the customary silence.
I went to that infamous council meeting with others, and heard first hand what our illustrious Council Leader said, absolutely none of which has come to fruition.
What I find even more incredible is that this whole issue has not been tackled thoroughly by a competent journalist reporting for the WE - that is IF they have interest in such dark dealings anymore. How come among all the innuendo flying about Wakefield in one form or another the whole issue has not been given some air? Is it just me that feels this way?

There was a journalist digging into things just before the infamous council meeting. After Box promised the earth the digging stopped. Seen as nothing has been delivered it/ would be good if the digging recommmenced!

Unfortunately it's the same on all message boards, the same has happened regarding your ground on the Cas forum with Hudderstiger taking a sabbatical.

It must really pee off the people working behind the scenes when the usual suspects post "what's the latest". As if anyone would sit on any concrete good news and not shout it from the rooftops.

If you include members of WMDC as those working behind the scenes, then I'll keep asking personally, because they are failing not just the supporters of WT but the Wakefield public in general.

It really annoys me when I drive on the Neil Fox Way just off Doncaster Road, a stones throw from Belle Vue and the are flattening the land for Warehouses. If this pathetic council had anything about it, they could have arranged a deal for these warehouses to be at Newmarket, right next to motorway and a community stadium in a almost perfect position. Loads of land there for parking, training pitches, everything!! On Neil Fox Way, near our home for over hundred years and next to where the club started. You could walk down NFW from Eastmoor or down donny road from the city centre.... that Peter Box wants stringing up in the bull ring so people can throw stuff at him...

You only have to walk round the city and listen to when people start complaining about the city, which often comes back to our council.

Sadly nobody really cares what Box gets upto, outside of the few Trinity fans who follow the stadium saga, enough to do anything about it. Even if he was strung up I doubt many would turn up.
