Because they are after extending the operation which involves the Newmarket site and Yorkcourt - not going to help Yorkcourt finalise a deal they have worked so hard to steal is it. Apart from the obvious logistical problems I seriously doubt the Newcold people would want to be drawn into such a murky issue which so far they are not tainted by.
Also I'm not sure about this but I thought the company in this case Newcold owned the lease, the developer always owns the land - I may be wrong but I though that's how they build up a portfolio and an income.

A slightly dramatic if not naive course of action, not sure if your aware of it but all those vehicles entering or leaving the premises will be refrigerated and in terms of a delay will have no consequence on the product at all.
However most of those loads will be on a timed delivery and a late delivery could result in it being refused so it might be wise to think about those actions if Newcold decide to issue proceedings against the offending car owners' should any of this happen.

It doesn't work like that. I'm not seriously suggesting we park dozens of cars in front of the plant forever and a day. It's about creating an illusion of conflict that may get the press interested and thus create a wider issue that the others parties could seriously do without. It's not naive I think it's based on what's called Guerrilla marketing, Katy Hopkins?? I think her name is in the Daily Mail is an expert at it.
It won't stop anything by itself but it fuels the debate and boy this issue needs refuelling.
Impossible to prove as regards the cars - unless there are yellow lines the then we can park outside the plant whenever we like and having looked at the access we could certainly make life awkward without breaking any laws at all.
It's not like everyone else isn't playing the game. Every organisation even one as criminal as Yorkcourt has a soft underbelly, it's a shame Newcold would have to suffer but as we innocent Trin fans know that's life.

Not sure but I'm sure Fil will explain the laws of parking your car and causing obstruction on the highway, not to mention the cctv camera's and the gate security men what will throw a spanner in your plan, you might get away with it once by causing a minimal delay, what next? as I say a naive and not very well thought out desperate plan, why not use up all the energy and target the real culprits.

Just a little fact to highlight what a monstrosity it is - you can see the Newcold building from THE PEAK DISTRICT!
(FYI - from the top of Pike Low).

For some reason you're missing the point.
You don't need to park illegally or obstruct in an obvious manner by abandoning your vehicle in the middle of the road - you just need to park legally at the kerbside.
Where I work there was a pre-existing truck workshop before our office was built. The extra roadside parking our office generated made the movement of trucks very difficult and added hugely to the time it took to get the trucks in and out. It took Bradford council two years to put down yellow line, only then was the parking an offence.
I'm afraid that although it may go against every law abiding bone in our bodies these things do actually work. The police in particular are very shy of large scale evictions of anybody and as the road isn't marked because I've checked they are powerless to do anything. Fifty cars could legally park there all day making movement very tricky and nobody could do squat.
That said I wasn't actually suggesting it as a long term strategy, just a tongue in cheek suggestion for our resident keyboard warrior - however I stand by the fact that it's feasible.

| I would suggest some sort of demonstration at the next televised home game against Leigh.
A public announcement at half time.
Turn up dressed in black or at least a black arm band.
Free entry to anyone turning up on the night with the above.
Make it about the city and the Wakefield public not just Trinity.
Painf the posts and try line flags black.paint all the lines black.
Chalk a large advertisement on the pitch.
A large black flag to shuttle round the north stand.
A minutes silence before kick off or a minutes applause at the start of the second half.
.
Involve other sporting clubs in the city to perform a walk round the pitch at half time.
Advertise the fact that the wakefield public have once again been short changed .
Then start phase 2 with direct action against the council.
All this of course depends totally on the support of the club and being in possession on the the facts

Don't think we want anyone to do anything yet and any action needs to be properly co-ordinated.
Just to pick up your point on parking. Do you know if the access road has been formally adopted as a public highway under Section 38 of the Highways Act. If not then the road may still be a private road and if you park on it you may be towed away at your own expense.

If there are any they don't work very well. I had a walk over there a couple of months ago and the amount of fly tipping on the access road (within full view of the gates) was unbelievable. For any one who hasn't been over that way the road has wide grass margins and no yellow lines.

Whilst enforcing parking regulations has now passed from the police to WMDC, there is still the offence of Causing an Unnecessary Obstruction which the police enforce. There don't have to be any yellow lines whatsoever - if your car is causing an obstruction then the police can have it towed away at your expense (£150 +vat) and you could potentially find yourselves with a £50 fixed penalty ticket or even in front of the magistrates too !!!!
Whilst I am as annoyed as everyone else on here about the disgraceful predicament that we find ourselves in, this is a bad idea from the outset and we should be venting our anger in a dignified manner at the real protagonists and not Newcold .

Deary me what's wrong with everyone on this forum and this need to take everything literally
My reply was a tongue in cheek challenge to NGBFC, a poster renowned for having more bull than bluster.
The chances of him being parked outside of Newcold in his camper van leading the Trinity massive is virtually nil, so Sandal I really wouldn't worry about it.

| Forgetting some of the hair-brained schemes for getting attention, what's wrong with good old picketing of the town hall with placards bearing derogatory (but not libelous) comments about Captain Box and his crew of pirates. Who was it that organised the mass pickets a few years ago, cos we need him again?? Muster everybody on Wood Street and give a call to Calendar and Look North and take it from there.

There wasn't mass media coverage at the last one, although Radio Leeds were there.
We really need some of the press to do some good old fashioned investigative journalism.
The Wakey Experss aren't up to it but, whether the Yorkshire Post and or The RL press could do anything, I dont know.
