What do we expect. We're a bunch of hastily put together miss fits, now more than ever. I'm confident we'll be more competitive come the 8's but it's certainly going to be tough.

Trinity cannot seem to tighten up their defence no matter what players are in the 17.....

Teams getting worse. Still you bring in e you get e out.

I think the individual defence is very good. We are smashing them around, we (or the ref) are helping them down field.
We tackled them out for three sets before they got a try off a bouncing ball off the post.
We need to improve discipline but I think the sides are pretty even apart from the ref (though I am a long way away from some.

Other than craig hall I was proud of the boys effort today

Good effort all things considered, thought Miller was good again, ok he does sometimes come up with the wrong option, but pretty good for a headless chicken! Right now we would be a poor attacking threat without him. They just had a couple of purple patches really, just shows what you can do when you cut down on errors and stop giving penalties away. It will be interesting to see what 17 BS picks for the first game. let's just hope Hall's injury isn't trivial.....

As for craig hall, call ne cynical but it wud not suprise me if he feigned injury so he cud go off after tsai ran over him 4 times

I probably get shot down for this , but I think scruton is on the field far too long. Shud be 20min max each half. Becomes a penalty king and misses tackles past the 20 min mark. Btw thought the 2 young props walker and mullaly marched us back into the game in the 2nd half, loved the hit by walker that put Crabtree on his backside. I would even start with Anderson and walker tbh but I know that ain't going to happen. Still think it's touch and go if we stay up. Some big games ahead but if we play similar to today, hopefully be ok.

4800 given out, actual slightly less than 3K I would have thought

In all fairness his injury looked genuine but as you say his defence let him down a couple of times.
The guy made his name on the wing for HKR and that's were I would play him if fit.

Went well, some strong running and tackling - should be a good acquisition and his handling was very good in damp conditions. He won't be the kind of centre who slips neat passes to his winger ala Collis, but he'll go well for us.

Credit to wakey for having a go and never giving it up, at 28-12 we should have put you to the sword but you showed good spirit to come back
However I thought it was a poor half d effort from us and on another day could have slipped up

Credit to the fans that came, well the ones that kept their fists down, got behind the team well

I was impressed by him,big lad and run it in well,some more game time,will be a handful.

Begs the question - which Wakey will turn up in the middle 8s?
