If that's true we need to be calling Shaul and finding a way to pay him.

I’d rather give Pratt a start at 1 than Gaskill again.

Gaskill needs a run of games at 6 in my opinion, he isn’t a 1.

Last I heard was that Shaul was injured, he pulled out of our friendly against them with a leg injury. Maybe he's fit, but he's not been in their 21 squad this season.

So back down to earth. I thought we'd cop a backlash from Wigan, but not by that many.
I honestly believed we had a squad good enough to at least compete this year but perhaps not.
The problem of tries being scored out wide, with wingers exposed is a Trinity tradition. TJ was criticised many times for tries scored in that way but often it was him against 2/3. Centres and SR shouldn't have to be pulled into the middle and we don't have a sliding defence.
Needs sorting now and I hope Huddersfield feel a big backlash against us because the players should be up for it big time.

With Hoy at 1, not sure he will get a start unless of injuries

Not slagging the guy off but Taufua appears to be a shadow of the player he was 4 years ago….maybe time and injuries have caught up with him.

Think he’s currently injured. He’s also started his testimonial season with them so is unlikely to go and play for someone else during it i’d have thought.

Gaskell has no pace and positional sense to be a full back. The fact the Mash played him there probably says more about Mash…..

He isn’t a centre thats for sure, he looked lost yesterday. That was literally only his 3rd or 4th game there in his entire career. Play him on the wing or not at all.

Pratt is a centre. Butterworth is the only other FB at the club. It’s either Butterworth or a loan option.

Gaskell isn’t a 1 but I’m also not sure he’s a half either on last year at halfback was poor. The only form Gaskell has shown up well in is centre end of last season.

Also think with most of our squad you n the twilight of their carreer are they really up for a battle

Proctor tackles well but clearly has a back or stiffness issue of sorts me kind - never carries ball, Gaskell - has he ever been about when the going gets tough , langi looks a mile from match fitness , taufa so far looks like a waste of a quota spot, I ll reserve judgement on atoni

Morgan Smith is a half back,I agree. Gaskell I am convinced he isn't ANYTHING , perhaps a mid level championship player.

Me too Gaskell is the laziest player I have seen.

To be fair to him he went well at centre last season.

Smith has to go in halfbacks for me with Lino.

Langi is absolutely not a halfback too. Last played there 5 years ago and didn’t play much there before that.

Mash may have to upset some players he has put faith in but he will need to have the big ones to ring changes and break down and change what’s not working.

We've a 30 man squad, how many if them would get regular game time elsewhere in SL? Langi, Murphy, Whitbread, Tanginoa, possibly Lyne. There's the issue for me, a distinct lack of quality.

So suddenly Hall, Lino, Atoni, Ashurst, Proctor are rubbish?

Nothing suddenly about it, I've said all pre-season it's a low quality squad. Hall has the potential to go on and be a top player, but it's still potential at the moment.

When it fits the agenda or posters point of view it seems. You can manipulate what you post to match your opinions and try pass it as fact.

We have enough quality in the team but there’s something definitely wrong or not working. Playing players in their correct and natural position will help.

The injuries are racking up.

Tanginoa is a huge miss! He’s missed most of pre season with his hamstring and now he appears like he’ll be missing more weeks/months. He’s a huge player for us.

Bowden - was a good starting prop but again missed a couple of months pre season and season start.

Hood - missed early rounds and a few weeks pre season.

Jowitt - if rumours are to be believed it’s over a month.

Bowes - injured apparently.

Lyne - not sure but some issue it seems.

Crowther - missed 3/4 weeks with concussion.

Why do we always seem to suffer from a horrendous injury list?

Hall is a good player but still young, many clubs would take him on but he would get few first team chances if other players were available
Lino, he's not that bad, but would look better with SL level players around him
Antoni, saw a glimpse of something on boxing Day, seen absolutely nothing since
As Hurst, just a regular club man,nothing special but does his job. However best years are way behind him
Proctor, seen absolutely nothing to say he will be anything special. Would I swap him for Batchelor back, absolutely !
