It's a well known money pit, why anyone thinks it's an investment opportunity without flattening it (filling it) and building commercial units I don't know.

I too watched Backchat and without going back and re-watching I don't think Wakey were mentioned by name. It was Mo Lindsay who first brought it up when he said just 2 clubs hadn't made any progress regarding stadiums but I don't think he left any doubt who he meant. It was Elstone that then said he has enjoyed watching Cas over the last couple of years but the stadium deteriates every year. He then said although the new stadium has always been just around the corner they couldn't remain patient forever.

I think it's just a shot across the RFL bows in case they were going to sell it to the Bulls owner at a price lower than they paid for it.

It's not exactly a mouth watering investment opportunity. Contaminated land that comes with a tenant.

On the point of selling it to the Bradford club at a lower price than they paid, the RFL have now decided Odsal is now worth half a million pound less than what they paid for it around 5 years ago, how can the valuation depreciate so much in just 5 years?

Well it is either that or maybe a ridiculous suggestion that they lowered the valuation on the basis of knowing that a sale could be made to a certain party at that price.
