yes we are going to the scarborough festival again,it will be nice to have someone else from this side of the pennines to soften up them from over the hill.will definately have one or two beers believe me after the rugby you need it.
really looking forward to it, you and your kids will get so much out of playing in such a demanding festival and i personally feel it has been one of the main reasons we have progressed well over the past few years because it brings everybody together been on tour.

| Young gadge is still here and playing back to his best at the moment - young jowitts gone to dews moor u9's unfortunately (a few reasons of which I could write a book about ! - the club though not his family I best point out ). Played one game for them and swept the awards however so good look to him.

| close game it was for Stanley Rangers under 12s as they finished 20 - 4 victorious, Dudley Hill put a spirited effort and if they could of made use of the their close positional play the score line would of been closer

| ft score u10s
cas panthers 24 shaw cross sharks 10
both teams played very well in difficult conditions with some good rugby on show, shaw cross are an improving team who play some good stuff.the panthers lead 18-0 at ht and it gave us a chance to give a few players a bit more game time than normal and give a few others a bit of a break which didnt help but it the long run we will be better for it.

| Crigg u10's won away at wibsey 42-28 .
Bog of a pitch and played in thick fog . Had an official ref appointed and I have to say rarely do you hear both sets of parents complaining - he was that bad ! V. Proud of my lad today , got a bad nosebleed before halftime but we "did a jon wilkin" on him and he played the second half with a bandage taped round his face - townville at home next week

| u10s full time result
castleford panthers 50 dewsbury celtic 10
an awful day to play rugby but credit to both teams for getting through the morning,a massive gulf in class in the two teams with the panthers scoring almost at will with 11 tries in total "only 3 conversions" while dewsbury scored a try in each half.games like this do nobody any good.

| Crigg u10's won again this morning , this time at home to Townville, 36-12.
Didn't deserve to win by so many tbh but crigg were without 3 ill players again this week . Townville seem to be v. reliant on a couple of players , and one of them is leaving soon , so I don't know what the future holds for them.
HOW COLD ??!!!!!

| Stanley got back on track with a win over stanningley although i think i will leave the full report to the gaffer , all i will say is that OV and phil (whoever he is on the board ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif) ) must still have headache from trying to single out players for praise .
well done to all

| Stanley Rangers under 12s proved to be the strongest of the two sides in a hard fought derby battle winning 20 -2,
it was a another outstanding defensive display kept the Normanton knights to a try less game have taken an early lead with a penalty, a break away 90 meter try from our winger was the highlight of the match and was the decisive break to the game taking us to a 12 points gap,
we saw areas that needed to be addressed in our attack and hope that we can get the lads to sort this out but over all this was another close game,
the two teams now meeting in the under 12s final are Crigglestone All Blacks v Stanley Rangers
congrats to the stanley 13s as well who had an impressive win as well

| Big up to stanley under 12 s thought they played really well . Obviously as losing team we felt ref did us no favours ie first try came on seventh tackle , second try winger put foot in touch . third try knock on/ offside but hey, we lost . All of these points are proven by the match dvd and the ref was being assessed by the refs controller . The assessor was not entirely happy with the decisions and asked for a copy of the dvd , which i declined to give him believing he should be assessed in real time not scrutinised on video. Good luck to stanley in final , you were best team today, and roll on decider at your place its one each now and both losing teams feel ref was against them. is there a pattern here .

it wasn't only you that thought the ref got the tackle count wrong in the game as it happened in your possesion in first half and that came from a professional body and that wasn't Ben Thaler,
my lad got over the try line before the first try was scored only for it to be called held up before the line, I wasn't in a good position to see but was told from someone that was that he thought that he had grounded it which was confirmed by my lad after the match that he felt he was lifted after the grounding and pushed back but was told by the same PB that he thought it wasn't a try and that he thought it was short, I hold very high regard for the said person so except his decision,
I thought both teams held very cool heads bearing in mind its the parents from both side that are more verbal and would like to thank you for the good luck in the final,
as for the refs that are learning the game, do you not think that we should be a little more understanding as parents ? I do, I would be more than welcome to veiw your dvd and put my aspect of the game if you like
when you do come for the return league game I hope you give the raffle ticket seller a warm welcome as it tends to be me
I have said before thank your post and invite you to bring more to the local rugby thread for your club as it expands the game from the lower levels of rugby league which we all love ![Smile icon_smile.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_smile.gif)

Well Stanley under 13's won 42 to nil against Normy yesterday in the cup, and the ref was very strange in some calls and imho felt sorry for the losing side. The penalty count was 16 to Normy and 1 to Stanley, refs make some good calls and some bad, but 16 to 1 yesterday was a joke, Stanley got cained, but their ability shone on the day. I also watched the first half of the 12's game, and one try in the bottom left corner by Stanley was a clear cut try, I was 10 feet away from it, did your video evidence pick that up ?? ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)

| Wakefield City smashed Fetherstone Lions with a 40-18 victory. City seem to be finally running into some form after a shocking start to the year under the guidance of Wakefield Legend Jonny Thompson.

'" yes stanley did win 42-0 but they should have done really. the top of the first division playing against a second division team that played with 12 men for 20 mins no fault :: of stanley's i hasten to add. the game was played in a good spirit by both teams. as far as the ref is concerned, think he did a decent job. most of the penalties stanley incurred were deserved and to the players credit, didn't see any of them whinging or moaning at the referee. they played some great rugby and got on with it unlike the coaches that constantly whinged at the ref. maybe they should follow the players example. both sides dicipline was outstanding. ![Wink icon_wink.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_wink.gif)
