We must go Cooke & BJ, no other possible combination in my opinion. Cookey to organise and BJ to run, straight swap Cookey for Brough. We can't put Obst in halfs as that would leave us with Latu as the only hooker as I don't beleive Davy is ready for SL week in week out yet.

Personally I would like Cooke at LF, Sammy at 6 with BJ at 7 and Lats and Davey both at hooker.

I Know this means that captain fantastic is not here but I think at the moment he is at best an interchange player even though it pains me not to put him down first on the sheet

Wakefield have had no approach from the RFL for John Kear and would not welcome any such deal. Its fair to say John is a very popular figure at the WTW and to lose John as the Wildcats are enjoying a succesful start to the Engage Super League is pure speculation and unfounded. I understand why John would be linked with such a position because we all know that Johns experience in the game is very hard to find especially even more so the fact that he's English and the RFL announcing there wish to appoint an home grown coach.
John continues to work hard for the Wildcats and all was on display at New Craven Park on Friday evening and with further improvements to made to the Wildcats personnal within the next 3-5 days i can rest assure all Wakefield fans Johns ambitions remain truly to the wildcats.
To my knowing there only 1 job that John would ever possibly leave the Wildcats for and I can assure you its not England but a job within a club that remains close to his heart and the Club he supported as man and boy.
Also may I add Danny Brough has no ambition to leave Wakefield or Wakefield to grant permission to any SL Club, chairman,CEO'S or agents in taking Danny away from the Club. The club are in discussions with Danny about a contact extension and hope to announce good news on the subject with the coming months

Strange if true. Despite the popular opinion on this thread, Ken Davy doesn't throw his money about willy-nilly. And I thought it was Huddersfield policy not to pay transfer fees. Do you think it's possible Wakey are letting him go early to maintain harmony within the squad? There was an interview with Robinson in the press last season where he said that Nathan Brown saw him as a hooker. Perhaps it's DB to 7 and Robinson to interchange with Lunt at 9 in 2011 when Drew goes back to Aus. I have my reservations about Brough but can't deny he's a class player on his day. I guess we'll see if it happens soon enough.

Hard to imagine Huddersfield parting with loads of cash for Brough for a number of reasons, and not just last week's result. Although, as you say, you'll have a class players for it.

broughy can kick from 1 side only (the right)..looking at broughy last night with the pass and bollocking to morton for a pass which was to put it politely "crap" and the stupid "pro foul" which kept us down to 12 for 10 mins..good job little sam isn't half the player that db is..can't remember db sidestepping and turning 6 defenders and scoring a great try to bring us back in to the game..

i personally want db at wakefield but prefer little sam's work ethic and skill anytime..broughy is a better kicker of the ball but can we cover that?

I would also like to add to the above post that in my opinion Danny has been a good player for us and
we have won quite a few games due to his presence on the field. However the guy clearly has problems with his financial affairs and a club like Huddersfield with their multi millionaire chairman are in a much better position to help him out than us.

Good luck Danny I'm sure the shudds fans will appreciate your skills. As for our own supporters I am also sure we will get along without him, be easy with our BoD they tried all they could to keep him. However life moves on and lets hope all parties benefit from this move.
