Maybe not the fault of Obst but he certainly isn't being helped in the middle by his team mates. The opposition seem to get him isolated and as such a big un against a little un however good he can tackle is always going to result in one winner

I agree to an extent, but the lad is getting targetted every week now - his confidence must be shot. I think he needs a rest more than anything - we have other options at 9 so why labour the point with him? Give him a rest for a couple of weeks, let Latu rotate with Drew and see how that works out.

Agreed, it hasn't been the easiest season for him and i'm sure right now a little break from first team action may do him the world of good come the run in to the end of the season.

Obst has shown that he can be a very good defender. As a result we accept his slow. wild, poor passing, his poor kicking, his poor last tackle option.

The problem now is that over the last few weeks he has added poor defending to his repertoire.

of course that is just your opinion. i don't see much wrong with his passing. he is no worse than any other hooker. i don't think he is slow. saw him kick one of the few 40/20's that has been kicked at belle vue this year. think sam is a good player. an awesome defender and has earned the respect he has got from players and fans alike through hard work.

Totally agree, best tackler we have IMHO, if the rest of the team tried as hard we may win some more matches. Get off his case. I would even play him at 6 cos Rooney does nothing for us at all.

h how can you make that statement when he has already been playing there for the last 5 years.before he signed his last contract with wakey, there were other sl clubs that came in for him, who obviously thought he was sl material. and when he did play in the national league, he was player of the year. he won more or less everything worth winning at last years awards, needed a wheelbarrow to take home the trophies



he is a fantastic player with a fantastic attitude and more bottle than coca cola. imo the guy does need a rest, as we all do, especially after putting in the effort that he puts in. i predict he may rest today. as far as your comment that he is no sl player, no disrespect , but that is rubbish.
