I have raised the isse with the club about up and coming events drifiting off the bottom of the page.

Like i said two posts above its always the case with these events.

shame it clashed with tonight's game and would of suited better at the weekend IMO

Can't really help the clash but the weekend would have been better, i'm sure they have good reason for the tuesday night though.

It's not advertised right well thought tbf. Only place I saw it on was main site and that was a week before and then it was off first page due to other news, could ahve made it a sticky on the official site.

Because people would rather sit in the pub or moan on here than support the club and get involved, yes i'll get shot down for that but "hey ho"

Really enjoyed it, will keep my eye out for another event in the near future.

Used to enjoy the end of season awards night ( Think it was wiscas) But only one now is the one at that hotel, bit pricey.

Won't be too critical of 'em - because that's not fair if you don't help 'em - but they are not too hot on the publicity side - since I left!

That was my role and I worked my butt off, but then I got the call to get involved with SWAG, and that seemed more important at the time.

I still do the posters for them, but at the last home game (when I would have advertised the event) no-one had told me of it or asked for any posters to be made!



People will turn up, if there's enough notice, enough advertising and no conflicts. It's not rocket science!

We had a great night, although I was a bit embarrassed at how loud my son was shouting

Made a loss but hey... all to a good cause! A lot of the players were there and they seemed to be having a good time too. It was a shame about the turn out but then it always seems to be the case.

The thing with these events is that not everybody has the time/inclination/money to support all these events or to devote all their free time to supporting Wakefield Trinity. I didn't attend this as I do other things on a Tuesday but if I didn't come on here I would never have known about it anyway.

like you said Phil no conflicts , not to sure how long the academy had been penciled in for last night but the kind of supporter to go to a wisca event is also the kind to watch the academy.

we missed the gala day this year just not enough publicity although we did watch the academy match right after, got told though that the gala in reflection to others was pretty poor....just what i heard

The Bradford game was re-arranged - no-one's fault at this end!

ha ha, was that yo. No need to be embarrassed, could tell he was having a good time which is what it's all about.

In fact I think some of the younger ones were enjoying it more than the older ones
