They're used a lot as spaces for fences or railings, so the concrete can be pourer and the barrier installed at a later date.

They could also be where the LED boards will be fixed in.

I’d be surprised if the concrete were poured, I’d expect it to be pre-cast, but there may be a technical reason for doing it that way.

That would be nice but those pipes are next to the pitch, not very private.

The terracing is precast, the base/foundation will be insitu. You can see the steel mesh reinforcement at the bottom of the excavation by the side of the vertical twin wall pipes.

Looking at the recent reports from various sources re the new planning application, and frankly I'm getting a bit tired of reading how Wakefield Council invested £8m into the new East Stand.

A Cas fan on Facebook is adamant the WMDC loaned us £9M to build the East stand as Yorkcourt didn’t stump up the finance, he then suggested that Matt Ellis paid this loan off when buying the club. I don’t know how to do it but he says it’s all in the clubs accounts and in the public domain for all to see. Sounds like bo110x to me.

If YC didn't pay up, they would have ended up in court for failing to satisfy the S106, with the Directors struck off, wouldn't they??

Yeah I thought the same, plus why has no one else picked up on this point? And strangely I’ve not seen anyone posting in the Cas forum regarding the £9M the council lent us.

The council do not have £9million to lend anyone.
And we haven't paid the loan off.

He seems to be talking about that full stadium design, which I thought the same way when I saw it—not the brochure for 2025.
