its alright saying we wil get money for him but as fans we dont see any of that money it wont go on team rebuilding but into teds pocket i would rather have a couple of players,we will still a player missisng from the start of the season with newton going and yes cooke will replace him but we are now left without a proper scrum half at the club.i for one hope he fails at hudds

Whilst it's frustrating at times, i find it very naive you believe Ted would pocket whatever fee we'll receive. More likely is the money will go towards servicing debts, might well go towards the new stadium or be invested in youth players or to retain current players.

We've all been here before with Ellis, Atkins etc and we've always come through it a better team.

Don't worry, we'll get the best out of any brough deal.

I’d be very disappointed if we sold DB at this stage of the season. It would have to be one hell of a deal to justify selling arguably your best player and chief play maker to a rival team after 6 games of a new season.

Would the coach really consider them to be a rival team other than geographically? - they are challenging for top 3 places, we are realistically challenging for 5-8 position. I think that a coach would consider those places in terms of rivalry more than Hudds/Wigan and poss Wire this year who all seem to have upped their game tremendously and challenging for top few slots.

At the start of the season we set a budget out to spend on playing personnel. If Brough is not replaced we have reduced that budget in a big way. What has happened financially since the off season to the club that stops us sticking to our original budget?

Brough imo is the best play maker in the league, it's a big hole to replace. If were not getting a player swop it's going to cause us problems. Without him we are weaker, that we have to accept. This will be reflected over the rest of the season in lost potential League points. I would go as far as to say if this deal woks the way I fear it could cost us the play offs. .

Top player danny brough and be missed alot.

What can the club possibly gain from his sale, yes we may get a bit of cash, or even a player that no longer figures in Shudds plans, big wow.

Maybe if we made him stay to the end of the season, he would spit his dummy out, I don’t know, but, if that wasn’t the case, I would rather him see out his contract. With the squad we’ve got, plus the possible addition of Cooke, we would have the best team, we’ve had for many a year, certainly in the S.L era.

I wouldn’t care where he went next season, let the possible suitors battle it out for him, but don’t ruin this season for a quick buck.

A lot of these transfers are arranged months in advance.Now,only 6 games into the season,Wakefield are negotiating on at least one coming in and one going out when the rumour of Danny going has been on the go for an age.

It is all very unsettling and the quicker this is sorted the better.
The actions of Huddersfield are even more bizarre - reading the Hudds.forum Luke Robinson was aware of Danny being signed before he accepted a 2 yrs.contract.This could have been done a few weeks earlier and they run the risk of unsettling their successful side.

Even though the rumours are really strong and have to be taken seriously, I really can't see the move working for anyone but DB.
Giants really don't need him, given the players they have already contracted and Wakefield would find t very hard to replace him, no matter how much money was paid.

Good to see the club state they have done everything possible to keep Danny Brough but they're not prepared to be held to ransom. Also clear that they will not be bullied by Huddersfield and will only a deal that is going to benefit us

Unless they are giving us a top player (who is not heading "alledgedly" for a stretch somewhere) we might as well get the cash and shop around.

Crabtree, Lunt and £100,000 is my first negotiation point. If they didn't like that I'm prepared to add Wild instead of Lunt.
