I would like to wish Aaron all the best and thank him for the service he as provided as a academy player and upwards and for staying on for this last season when quite clearly he could of started his new career at Huddersfield sooner as his quality had been noted .

players like Aaron dont come along that often but fortunately the wakefield and castleford area get a fair share the question is how do we generate a league where we are in all seriousness able to not only compete with salary demands of bigger clubs but also don't have the uncertainty of not knowing until late into a season whether or not you have won a franchise . a total lunatic idea that will always blitz this club unless the owner wins and invests the euro millions .

another young is out there for us , unfortunately if he has any real ambition he will at some point have no option but move to advance to just get any international recognition.

good luck to smurph if he goes. i cant help thinking that he will be another one that the club has failed to get the best out of.

for me, if kear had given him the number 1 shirt and stuck with him we could have had a great localy produced fullback who would have been something in the mould of briscoe or wellens.

instead we have messed him around and turned him into nothing more than a utility player, in a similar way we did with scott grix.

hopefully his career can now blossom, as he is a great kid with a load of talent.

Fine, I really don't know what the problem is.

Can't remember Murphy ever not playing when fit so I don't know how Kear could have "stuck with him" any more than he did! Scott Grix will always be an average utility player regardless of who's shirt he's got on his back.
Whether a move to Shudds will give Murphy anything more than a couple of seasons of higher pay and a signing on fee, who knows? Greg McNally and Josh Griffin didn't exactly get much else. Maybe all three are satisfied with that?

mcnally and griffin were not established superleague players when they went to hudds were they?

grix has developed into a good fullback, similarly atkins has become a good centre under some good coaching.
