I don't use it myself but you'd have to be pretty insular not to see why any business wouldn't concentrate on Facebook and Twitter etc.

Like it or not forums and websites are now quite niche, yesterdays technology.

Still a place for them like there is for leafleting and other forms of advertising but generally, they are second-line at best.

It's also far and away the most cost-effective method.

Go to pub or club in the 1980’s around here and state that you broadly agreed with Tory policy, as is your right in a free country and see how soon you got cancelled, possibly physically.

All social media has done is made it easier and more anonymous, being from the comfort of your own chair with 24/7 access.

It’s the same as it’s always been, 99% of people use it well and 1% abuse it.

Tha' s the point I'm trying to make, PT. The fact that I look at this forum on my laptop means I don't have to have a phone in my pocket for 24 hours a day and I'm not likely ro be tapping away whilst walking down Westgate or sat in the pub or on a bus. It seems that a good percentage of your 58 million would commit suicide if they were deprived of their (not so) smart phone for a day.

Other than when I'm at a game or away from home or work I never bother with Facebook or Twitter on my mobile so it's a bit of a red herring to think you need a mobile for these.
I tend to log on my PC regularly (work permitting obviously) and do the rounds of TotalRL, RLfans, FB and Twitter. The 2nd two require no more effort than the 1st two.
Only occasional check through Instagram.

FB could do with a few more of the silent majority.

I can't speak for the other 57,999,999 but I don't need to tap on my phone while walking, and in fact couldn't. Unless I was using the maps to find somewhere I guess.
I don't get the bus but let's assume train is the same? I can read a book on my phone. And if needed I can communicate with friends or work, when I would otherwise by just looking out of the window.
I can also text someone to pick me up using WhatsApp which is free compared to texting.

It's all just a matter of how you use the technology.

Getting back to MC, as I've derailed this a bit.
I wonder if other clubs do this Q&A thing, especially in covid times. Does anyone know?
