I wonder if it would be worth the clubs considering a "stadium season ticket" which gets you access to all rugby and football at the stadium

I'd be inclined to get one as I tend not to go to away games any more so would be a good excuse to get out of the house each week

Cas fans seem as delighted with this as we do with our lot. Bit of a free run for him this season for him with us being so utterly useless. Next year however if they don't improve, they could be looking over their shoulders all season. If its Fev they may just get another reprieve.

As we very well know, simply promoting the assistant doesn’t end well.

What, better than actually beating them? Have Saints actually won since beating us?

What a shame to watch Miller, Batch and Hall playing in another team's colours.
Not to mention Westerman.

I was honestly thinking the same. We’ve been here before and come back. We are fundamentally in a better position than in the past, even though we are poop on the field, we are much stronger off it.

Batch and Hall maybe.

Hall has given us a lifeline I feel tonight.

Miller at times looked to go down easier than Myler

I said last year not sorry to see Miller go, especially as he was heavily involved with thre players revolt.

Personally, I was more concerned who he was replaced with.

That 1st half from Rovers must have been their worst 40 mins of the season. Cas must be gutted to lose especially considering the number of penalties and six agains they received.

They tried to bully Rovers and deserved the penalties against them.
Cas actually did really well....apart from finishing

The Cas / Rovers game showed up just how mickey poor our recruitment and player retention is.
Dagger is going ok but, Hall, who is still young and learning his craft, is quality.
Hall, Miller and Batch are better than what we have in their positions and it's not even close.
Obviously McShane comes into the same category but, he never seemed to fit at Trinity.
We could throw in Westerman too but, in fairness, he's Cas to the core, albeit that he played really well for us whilst he was here.

With those few players in our squad, we would have something close to a winning side



On a different note, how good is Abdul ?

And yet many on this board has pretty much trashed Miller, Westerman and McShane from day 1.

Abdul is very good, not the quickest, and quite big for a half, but his kicking game and organisation skills are second to none.

Add to that, the fire in the belly of his half back partner, Mikey Lewis, something we lack on both counts.

Both have benefitted from having a top half back as coach I think.
Abdul has always been criticised for being slow but they've concentrated on using his skills rather than fixing his failures....and have a half back that compliments him.

Do not count me as one

George King as well. He’s been their best prop ever since he joined them.

I liked him. Did nothing fancy but does his job with dew mistakes and has a decent engine.
He's nit what we need now though. We need a metre gainer....and a line breaker would be nice.

Good grief, not the old McShane thing again! It's been discussed and documented lots of times over the years how he somehow found himself at Trinity, when all he wanted was to be at Cas.He was as fat as a pudding when he arrived, showed the odd glimpses of what he could do,but generally made it clear he wanted away by showing utter contempt for us by not trying.I was to see the back of him.

You may be right.
However, if you were given a choice of Miller or Gaskill, Mcshane or Hood and Westerman or Proctor/Atoni, who would you pick.
Miller is a decent player, who didnt show his best often enough. Westerman, although towards the end of his career, is quality and Mcshane has proven to be both good and versatile.
Mind you, even with those three players in their squad, Cas are not exactly breaking any pots and yet, those players would breeze into our starting 13/17.
How many of our current squad would make it into the Cas or KR first 17.

Getting back to Hall and Batchelor, we've lost two very, very good players.

In a decent KR side, Hall looks quality and yet, we literally gave him away.
