| Not for me, not even on a reasonable wage, Reece has had him in his pocket every time they have come up against each other.
He looks good on the odd occasion, but he gets it wrong so often in defence and makes a lot of errors.

Jesse Sene-Lefao, not sure whether this is accurate or not but there is a rumour we are one of three clubs looking at him. In my mind he was more of backrow but can play prop too.

Heard this earlier in the year, he`s a strange one, he was brilliant when he first came over then went missing for a couple of years on the field and seems to now have picked some form back up, the cynic in me says that's because he is after a contract. I do though see him as a second rower that can fill in at prop, he wouldn`t be my option but if we are struggling, he would be better than not signing another forward imo.

Nope we should stay clear.
We would only get about 10 games out of him.

There's a couple of props in the Championship that have signed for SL clubs, but yeah competition is high for them at the moment.

Not sure that is accurate.
Wigan have just signed 2 props who have played less than 20 NRL games so I don’t think that is accurate.
Also I think they will get a permit if they have played international rugby. Now I appreciate they won’t be picking up Aussie Internationals or Kiwi front line props, however lads that are playing for the likes of Fiji, Tonga, PNG, and Samoa etc would get permits should they apply for them.
There are quite a few of those lads not playing NRL but in the NSW and Queensland Cup.

| Quote ="vastman"I was thinking along the lines that he may not recover, not an injury expert. If he can fully recover great but I’m not sure he ever recovered from the last one.
If he can’t fully recover then perhaps a deal to pay off or get him a transfer.
I know I’m being hugely mercenary here but when it comes to overseas players we simply can’t afford to carry players in the hope they get fit and on form in time like you can with domestic players.
MC has stated it publicly that the next few seasons are make or break for most clubs, especially us. Ruthless is what we must be so long as we are fair.'"
I don’t think it’s a case of paying him off, as I believe that still counts towards the cap.
I appreciate it would be a possibility to open up a quota space, with finances so tight I don’t think that would be a path the club could go down, unless he was medically retired in which case he would receive an insurance pay out which I don’t believe would be covered by the cap.

The criteria is they have to have played 75% of the NRL games that they were eligible to play in over the last 2 years.

| Arundel and Rocky need signing, we need quality and these two are class. Agree with other posters injuries may well have caught up with Topou, suppose the good news is that he has plenty of time to recover but got to admit when he came back from the last injury he didn't look the same player or maybe he just didn't give himself enough time.

Given we don’t don’t spend anywhere near the limit the cap space matters not one jot. All about whether we could afford to pay him out and pay for another player, which as you say is unlikely. He is expected to be fit to play next year so medical retirement wouldn’t have been an option.

Unless both Mago and Ellis have been injured for long spells in the last 2 seasons, which I don’t believe they have, neither have achieved the 75% of games for their respective clubs over the last 2 years.
Mago isn’t far off to be fair but Ellis falls way under that as far as I can see neither have international honours.
Bevan French I don’t think, and Jai Field definitely didn’t meet that 75% criteria either playing only 17 NRL games in 4 years and only 6 in his last year with the Eels so something isn’t right with that.

If they are the ones Mr Carter was on about Wires offers loads of cash for one of them Wakefield could not get even close to it. A good prop is something the club are looking for every day .but only if it strengthens the team .They seem as rare as rocking horse dropping at present My words not Mr Carters

| Hurrell hasn’t ignited the super league like we all thought he would ,I’d stick him in with that Wigan wrecking ball kind of guy ,promised big things and ended doing hardly owt , Wigan were quick to see him outa the door. Boy if that was where we’d spent all our cap we would be in the do do. A Big gamble which seems to have failed and now trying to palm him off, and would rather spend on forward power than an under performing centre who costs an arm and a leg .

| Think we are ok at centre whatever happens will Bill.
We are very lucky to have 2 cracking young prospects in Croft and Greensmith.
Don't waste money these two are knocking at the door now. If we don't give them chance to play someone else will. We will then rue the day we failed to play these outstanding prospects.
We now have some decent backs with plenty of back up.
Any money should be spent on genuine prop forwards. We have enough second rows and Crowther and Brad Walker need to fight it out as both are good prospects to have a loose forward.
With a limited budget money should not be wasted. Spending it on 2 quality props is all we lack in my opinion.

Not sure Croft is big enough to be honest though he’s a handy player. Unfortunately size is a major factor these days, that or speed.
Greensmith looks the better prospect as the lad is a man mountain and has the built to hopefully withstand the physicality.
That said I’d be happy for Croft to prove me wrong.

I like Croft I don`t think he is the biggest or the fastest, as you say either of those two attributes really do give you a big leg up in the modern game, if you have both you should really be making it as a SL player, but you still get out and out centres that are just classy without the need for the bulk or the ridiculous pace and I think from what I have seen of Croft he could develop into just that, I just have a feeling by the way he plays. The type of player I am referring to is a Dean Collis, who along with Domic is probably my favourite centre to have played for us in SL.
I can`t say I have seen much of Greensmith to be honest but from what I hear from the folk that have watched him at Donny, he has all the quality to make it.

| Domic one of my favouritea as well ,who did not look fast ,but was good at finding a gap and once in the clear scored.many a time from 60 to 80 yards, very decisive pace .I do not expect a to go 80 yards to score ,but thinking put into a gap should be able to score from 50 yards

He was lucky to play alongside Solomona who was able to put any centre into space. If only we could unearth another like him.

Ryan Atkins basically owes his career to Solomona.
Domic was a very good centre regardless of who was his secondrow but if helped playing outside Sol.
