the winterstein thing is slightly different, hes a development prospect hes huge and looked good in spells against wigan, but hes young and 12k miles from home, maybe he need to settle??

most intresting point probably is there is enough potential not to fly him back home if hes not playing?

It's easy to be critical of the Peter Fox thing in isolation, but if you remember that in the Fox year we had a number of players starting a Super League career who were doing well (I think it was Bibey, Moore and Blaymire's first real year at the club, and I'm sure there were a couple of others). If Fox was able to demand a good contract on the back of one promising season, the others would have followed, with some justification, as well as a few of the old guard, and so I suspect the club had to act like a business and think of how it would affect the business.

As a decision based upon keeping wages in check, it was a sensible decision, although I wish he was still at the club. It's just a shame that they spent the money they saved on Sculthorpe.
