Using the logic of others, the club were right in accepting the bid, even if Atkins says he wanted to stay, if he admits he wasn't playing at his best. If he feels that way I'm sure other members of the squad will do, and they should play instead of him.

Couldn't give a damn, we have all seen big players come and go, Ryan is just another on that list. A good player, but there will be others.

Just cant believe that a professional sportsman is willing to play below standard and not do anything about it till a big pay cheque comes along. Might get shot down for sayin it but its my opinion.

If Atkins never wanted to leave and it was all the clubs doing, why would he not sign a contract extension? I am guessing that the club did make some attempt to resign him with no luck, so is the claim he wanted to stay a load of old knackers?

How is he meant to sign one when there is not one on offer?

What, so the club made absolutely no attempt to keep him at all? A potential GB International who is young and British who has shown great promise in the past? We made no offer at all?

I find that very difficult to believe.

Like Ryan said in his press release, the first he heard about the move was when his agent contacted him to tell him the club had agreed a deal with Warrington.

Find it as hard as you like to believe, but it was Wakeys choice to sell.

Millard looks like he has plenty of skill, looks like he can replace Atkins but he is a different sort of player.

never seen anything like it..ok about the announcement he is leaving but to say what he has said and to wear the shirt whilst contracted to another club is a complete DISGRACE! wonder if leeds' interest went after senior made him look like a complete dick.

he has played well over the last 4 games for us but over 2 years and about 4 passes to his winger i can cope with him leaving...jk..do us all a favour and dump him now..the bloke isn't fit to wear the wildcats shirt anymore.

I know i am a bit barmy and can be biased but as i've said and listen to the press releases, he was happy at Wakey only reason he is going is because Wakey decided to sell.

Seems strange as he is a good player but we will survive, we always do. Who knows this Millard could turn out to be a class act which would make the decision good or it may bite us on the , but only time will tell.

I am looking forward to seeing Millard, he looks the part as do most of the players signed up for next season

The only player I can remember parading about in his future teams shirt while still at his present club was Paul Ince at West Ham. Still don't think he's popular round those parts, big time charlies...

I have learnt before there is little point in discussing any matters 'Ryan Atkins' with you, you are often very niave and particularly when it comes to things like this. I will leave it at this for now, you clearly beleive everything you are told/read in press releases and thats not always wise.

Maybe Warrington didn't consider this issue as their season is finished?

If he wanted to stay or the club wanted him to leave, all he had to do was think before speaking, like everyone else.

I've long thought players/coaches etc. shouldn't let supporters get too close to them...this thread shows why that can be the case.

the problem with this thread is that is started at the wrong end of the season like I have said it shouldn't be allowed until after the final,
adam has every right to feel upset at some of the remarks made, and also he should realize that players move on,
I wouldn't question Adam's loyalty as a supporter to the club nor Ryan's while playing in red white and blue, the said interview where he is said to be wearing the wires colours is a publicity stunt for the warrington fans and I fair bet if we was in the same position we might do the same.

steve..hope he is, not done much over 2 years apart from the last 4 games..everything has been good about his play, attitude, ability, power, passion..just wish we had seen more. the wire thing really rattles me..

ryan..please prove me wrong..wish you all the best and eventually in hindsight you probably wouldn't have done that !
