Was on until end of programme at 6.00. He did mention the possibility of 2 more players.

| Tim Smith out for up to two months???
"Salford are facing an injury crisis at half-back after Theo Fages and Tim Smith were ruled out of Saturday’s Magic Weekend clash with Widnes.
French youngster Fages is facing up to five weeks out with a shoulder injury while Australian Smith could be unavailable for up to two months.
Smith, 29, began the Red Devils' first 10 matches of the season at scrum-half following his arrival from Wakefield but he has appeared in just two of their last four, with the club declining to offer an explanation...."
Sounds a bit sus' but that's what skysports news have to say.

| Hope Tim Smith is ok and overall he was good for us in the time he was here.
Yes he did have a defensive weakness but he made up for it in creativity. We've got a number of scrum halves in the squad and having him back now I think is a non starter we need another quality centre if anything.
It was questioned some time ago whether Chase and Smith could combine effectively. As said playing behind an ageing pack doesn't help.

| Either the elastic salary cap in operation at Salford will be stretched further, or they'll have to dig into their squad and show the rest of SL the strength in depth they created with Koukash' brass.
Either way, got to feel a bit sorry for Smith - he appeared settled and content at Wakey and maybe he was a bit better looked after? Lot of pressure at Salord with Dr Evil's unrealistically high expectations - maybe not what brings the best out of him?

| The Question to ask would Tim Smith be a benefit to us ??. I believe that although he has is faults ½ backs are like gold dust and IF we have the opportunity to get one , WE SHOULD TAKE IT , hasn’t it always been the cases certain players fit certain clubs and not others.

I'm a big fan of Smith, but we've moved on and replaced him.
I wouldn't change what we have now. I like the potential Siejka is showing and Sammut, Godinet and Sykes are all starting to work well together.
Smith's future I hope is bright, but somewhere else.

| It won't happen for the obvious reasons but if it was possible I'd pick him up from Salford and drive him here myself. One of the best half-backs we've had in super league. Shame some people seem to have forgotten just where his organisation and passing skill got us.

I certainly haven't forgot his skill and I am forever grateful of him wearing the red white and blue, but,I believe that Godinet ,Seika and Sammut are a better combination than when Tim was here. It's all history now and we can only guess how we would have faired if we had kept the same squad as last season, what we do need to do is to get behind the present team week after week, home and away.

| Wasn't going to say anything til after Magic Weekend but seeing as a Tim Smith debate has come up.
Was going to ask the question, could Siejka be a similar player to Smith?
Although I didn't go to either Hull or Widnes, Sykes has seemed to have had his best games so far with Siejka as his half back partner.
As I say, was going to wait til after this weekend to make a comment.

| Was steady against Cas, in a team that wasn't too good altogether.
Took his try pretty well on Widnes highlights.
And his stint in the centres against Saints are what I've seen.
Hopefully can go from strength to strength.

Opposite of all of the above for me. On the up side though him being sold for an incredibly high fee was the most outstanding deal in the history of RL
