Not quite what I said, but I did advise that a new co had been established, quoting info that is in the public domain. I'd be surprised if the RFL allowed things to go that route, or at least allow the same people to run the club following the long list of CCJ's that have arisen.
Since I posted that information, not one but two Winding Up Petitions have been submitted suggesting to me that those in charge new what was coming....... |

IF the fact that we are not in administration is all that keeps you coming, you might as well just go now.
When I started watching we had 3k crowds, just been bent over by Pearson and getting hammered every week - anything on top of that is a bonus for me - i'm loving the 8k crowds, challenging for playoffs and new stadium on the horizon. |

If people believe those rumour then why are you still spending money on club? Thats right because you care - just do your bit spending in the club shops and renewing season tickets and its all we can do. If we stop spreading the rumours it might make it abit easier to retain players etc.

I would not say this news is good at all. Spirit of 1873 is currently facing a winding up order from HMRC www.london-gazette.co.uk/issues/ ... -companies which is more than likely a tax bill! I really hope this gets sorted soon but once again I fear for the club.
No disrespect to AG but he has not run a rugby club before and does not have the deep pockets which is currently it appears the only way to run a club! |

You have to admit though, for such a new company we do seem to be in a bit of a mess again, even without the problems caused by the Eric France money!

I think the new company is more a safety net than anything else.
Clearly the deal (signed by the previous owner) is proving problematic for the club.
The CCJ route taken is not proving a winner however the club seem confident they have ridden out the storm.
I see the new company more like an insurance policy to protect the club from further losses or damage if needs be.
Weather or not it is ethical or how it affects the owners I am not certain but it protects the club.

Didn't AG say in the interview the winding up order re.HMRC would be dealt with?
That he had attempted to agree payment arrangements and keep it out of public domain.
That was not to be, so now all and sundry know.
Well lets hope payment is made.

Read somewhere that it's only open to existing Gold Members. The girl in the shop did ask me for my 2013 Book so I presume if I hadn't had took it I would've been refused. I only had it because I read somewhere that it would be required. |
