From the Finance POV, having high season ticket sales enables clubs to set higher matchday prices. Add onto that the ability to segregate in new stadia and the only people you have to hammer is the away fans, a potentially small section of the crowd, those that don't turn up are subsidised by them that do.
Sad, and we can pontificate, but I'm sure that when we are in NM we will do the same.

Sitting down to watch sport in a stadium identical to every other in the competition, seperated from away fans and without the possibility of changing position/end as I may wish, is not progress to me.
I can see every other benefit that new stadia bring including good old fashioned existence in SL, however as far as what matters to me as a fan, the main one is watching the match and that seems to be the least important factor these days.

Interesting statement that, remind me again how many times you've won at Wembley and how many major trophies you claim to have won in your short history.

We have the banter with the Dobbins, however we tend to ignore them, the last thing we would do is start a thread which invites them.

2 things:
1) When comparing prices, do like for like, so it is either £25 compared to £20 if you pay on the day, or £23 compared to £18 if you pre-purchase. So your prices are at least 25% higher than ours.

2) Nobody is claiming that what everyone pays at BelleVue is good value for the facilities on offer, but at least everyone pays the same price.

As a long term supporter of Rugby League, I much prefer to stand than sit anyway and having spent my formative years watching us play winter rugby in all sorts of conditions, standing out on the terraces at BelleVue holds no fears for me whatever the weather.
I can see the benefits of a modern stadium and the facilities it offers (especially for families etc) but I would always choose to stand to watch my rugby if given the choice.

Personally I love to sit now, age and all that

Don't flatter yourself - it was started as a perfectly legitimate discussion about the pricing structure for an upcoming away match; it could have been any team, but it so happens that yours is the only one that chooses to discriminate against away supporters by charging them more.

We know its had its day ,But there is no better ground when the sun is out and where else can you talk (wind up)the winger .
