Anyone know when the fixtures might be released?

If we sell over 3500 season tickets, our "attendance" should always be above that number as we cannot sell the same seat/space twice. What happens say, if we sell 5000 season tickets and only half of those people turn up, giving a physical attendance of 2500 ?

Just Googled it and according to League Express the Superleague fixtures are due out tomorrow but not sure if the Championship fixtures are being announced at the same time ??

If they produce more than the garbage we saw most of last season the fans will turn up.

Exactly, the bottom line is fans will come to watch a winning team more than anything else. If we perform well then attendances should naturally rise through the season accordingly.

Pre and post match entertainment will help also to a lesser degree.

With most the opposition teams being on our doorstep too I would offer premium tickets for the new east stand to away fans buy a discounted £10 entry to west stand for away fans with free or cheap £5 child offers.

This would encourage the likes of Batley, Fev, Bradford etc to travel in far greater numbers. This imo would be a smart move to boost numbers.

To maintain the 3000 fan boundary, we only need 130 fans average attendance next year.

We know that isn't a problem next year.

I might be helpful down the line, for the club to share the balance of adult and kids tickets - we've already got fans of certain other clubs thinking we are cheating our fandom (they seem oblivious to the fact that it's only "bums on seats"* that are counted).

*This means something different in Castleford.

Yes, you are correct. We don't need 3,500 to achieve the average this year. I didn't have the other averages in front of me when I posted.
I was meaning we need an average of that number in the stadium as opposed to season ticket holders who don't attend.

But if we achieve the score this year with a low average attendance it makes it harder the year after.

Yes, the thing that always impressed me about HKR and Cas, was that when they went done, their crowds went up!

I didn't think we were capable of that - I always thought relegation would be the start of a slow death for the club.

I've said the same many times.
If we'd lost that million pound game I think we might still be there with 1k crowds but Ellis has completely changed that.

Appears to be a bit of confusion over on RWB FB regarding season tickets for North Stand. Someone posted that Club Shop had intimated that upper and lower will still be segregated. This info doesn't tie up with online purchases that just specify North Stand, with no reference to segregation of upper and lower areas.

I must admit I think they might have to segregate as there are barriers so H&S will designate a total number of people.
So they either clock people in and stop the rest or they put it on the ticket.

But I've no idea really.

Unprecedented demand , unbelievable really if we look back only a matter of months ,and the bleak future that awaited us .

fantastic work matt and all his team but above all brilliant from the wakefield public putting their faith in him.

I know someone who's taken up the option for two when he has no intention of taking them.

I would hope not but nothing surprises me as it does the club no good at all and will deny some genuine fans the possibility of not obtaining a ticket.

With the wat that season ticket sales have gone, there may need to be some kind of system for "giving back" unused kids tickets ?
We dont want to have "sold out" signs up and loads of empty spaces.

Exactly what I've said to my mate, it's great to have the option to take them but he's a really negligible father to put it straight and can't see them attending more than 1 or 2 games.

The rest of the year there will be 2 spaces free, that real fans miss out on.

That's always an issue as some people will always take out for nowt. Think the majority will have taken them for the right reasons though.

In fairness, nobody will have anticipated the level of demand for season tickets.
The avalanche of interest and sales must have exceeded the most optimistic forecasts..

The last time there was anything close to this was after Glover took over (with the £80 season ticket deal).
