With the players leaving balanced against those coming in plus the extra 50k we got for 5th place I see this years budget being only moderately more than last years.

Selling Fifita has no long term benefit for the club, furthermore, if another club wants him and he is OOC next year then they'll just wait 9 months or so and sign him for free. Pointless speculation. Enjoy the positives without looking for the catch, life is much more enjoyable that way.

I was led to believe that he’d already turned down a bigger offer from Warrington to stay at Trinity. He must be happy & settled to do that.

You do realise that the SL clubs have to run a reserve team so there's a reason for starters that we need more players. On another note in the modern game prop is a key position and Chessie likes a big pack based on his coaching style maybe he wants more depth and competition and with a reserve grade players good enough to step up at the moment clubs dip into their Academies.
