I'll take the format, the camera angles and the replays, but if I have to listen to partisan pundits, I'll take TC all day long.

Realised I would be in the minority after broaching the subject once before,when Connor stood in and showed how much better it could be.But everybody to their own!

Think they all realised that the camera shake on full exposure due to fans jumping around in the flats on the odd occasions that we scored weren’t acceptable, an easy fix by filming from the half way line either side . Enjoyed Trin Tv and would defo pay again although some of the games last season should have a parental warning on them due to the horrific contents

Its odd though, because it didn't used to be as shaky as last season, and as you point out we used to score a hell of a lot more often.

Ha! Ha! If TC would just identify the right player taking the ball in would be summat,when the actual player is sat on the bench,well it'd be a start.Must admit I do like it when he thinks we've been badly done to.

Got to be down to the camera , as I find that the picture quality is far better than previous so probably a better zoom which like binoculars needs a steady hand to minimise shake at extreme distance , but simple gimbal would eradicate this issue probably completely instead of the tripod

Compared to Mick Morgan, TCs accent and pronunciation is cut glass.

I don’t know what some people want. We are modernising but that doesn’t mean we need to get rid of everything Trinity. Yes TC is not perfect but it’s hardly his day job. But he is one of us and we shouldn’t forget that we are basically a local team, not Real Madrid.

Should we not have named the new stand after Neil Fox. I mean the blokes lost all his pace and his defence is very suspect these days.

I would imagine we will be getting new equipment, I have a £500 blogging camera that can do broadcast quality, no shake at all when on a tripod, it's amazing where we are now with vid equipment. I reckon 2k would buy as a belter for what we need.

Just to be clear,my criticism of TC is nothing at all to do with his accent,but his very frequent mistakes in commentary.If we are appealing to a bigger and newer audience wouldn't it be better to get the product as good as we can.I watch all the the broadcasts and enjoy them, but just think they could be so much better.

TC has more experience than most ex rugby players at broadcasting.
I certain don't get the 'frequent' mistakes. I don't find he makes any more mistakes than the TV equivalents with far more technology to support them.

I'm happy for him to stay, but saying that, if we want to get someone more professional to do it I wouldn't have a problem, as long as TC keeps his inheritance roles if he wants to.

I like TC he’s been very good at commentating the games.
He was at his best on the radio where he was one of the most listenable and knowledgeable commentators for years.

Ian Brooke and David Wandless were arguably the best team of commentators we’ve had, they bounced off each other, had a bit of fun at each others expense but were knowledgable and had just the right amount of passionate home bias

Don't mind TC, but have to disagree with you about his mistakes.
Especially re players names in every game...
And its our players as well as the opposition ones.

Is it Dave Wandless commentary on this game v Leeds March 2000? I have this on VHS and love the repeats of "ADAM HUGHES !" at ever increasing volume as Hughesy gallops down the touchline around 7 minutes in. Unforgettable part of an unforgettable game.

I get where you're coming from I just don't think his mistakes are very important, they are part of his charm.
Mistakes aside, he is obviously close to the club and he brings that proximity to his commentary, Who else is going to know/remember or be even thoughtful enough to mention where nearly everyone on the pitch came from and who they've played for previously.
Who else is in contact with players and staff on a personal level and can relate snippets of conversations he's had with them.
Who else would hanker back in Trinity history to days gone by and shoot an anecdote or tall tale during a game.
Not gonna get non of that with mainstream, they don't have a dog in the fight, they cater for neutrals, their own bias and the quest for a controversial take on a non controversial event, its all flowery fanny with no substance.

Hell, I don't remember that kit, must have been a funky away strip or something.
I have a tape of Wakey Hull from 1990 or so, Brooke and Wandless were commentating.
They were doing their introductions just before the game, the girls were out with their buckets collecting donations and as they passed the commentary position the codheads chirped up with the old "get your t*ts out" chant which was actually louder on the tape than their own voices.
Completely ruined the pair of em, neither Brooke nor Wandless could say anything intelligible till 10 minutes in.
Didn't hear it at the game and I was only 50 yds to their right, but its on the tape.
Not strictly pc I know but, well...it was of its time and tbf, the codheads are still doing it 30 years later lol

Think TC’s and his mistakes is he’s looking with his eyes the full length of the field whereas we are looking at a much larger image of said player through a camera lens .
