| I've gone to the KC for the last three seasons and really enjoyed it, good views/stewarding and some cracking banter and was looking forward to going again this season, however as a matter of principle I am not going this year, it is outrageous that away fans are being penalised in this way (however small the difference is) and in any other activity it would be condemned by the governing body. As for sitting in with the Hull fans, also I think people need to get their facts straight, in order to get the pre match day discount we need to purchase through the club before the day and they only have tickets for one stand so therefore we would be paying more than £19 on match day to sit in a mixed stand (unless you drive over to hull and buy them from the ground) so for this reasion and yes for the sake of £3 I will not be going, but I'm happy to pay £600 for the family to go to Perpignan for the weekend
As for the comment about juniors getting value with their season tickets, is there any parent on here that would allow their Under 16 child to go to Hull without parental/adult supervision, one of the reason kids get free away games is to try to encourage mare to travel as adults are the ones that spend money at grounds

NO we say this year in year out what was the price at Hull 4 seasons ago??? the price is going up year on year by well over inflation and well above anybodies wage increase enough is enough I can pay it but I will not at Hull at Huddersfield,HKR,STS,Leeds and the rest
I dont expect our season tickets to be £100 next season I would expect around £200 no problem with that I have a problem with being ripped off to the tune of £25 at Hull or any other ground for that matter at this rate Hull will charge £30 within 2-3 seasons

| Do you seriously believe that you should pay less to attend a game at the KC where you get a comfortable seat in a modern stadium than you do to stand at belle vue?

No one's asking to pay less. Everyone's wondering why the tickets allocated for the "away end" cost 4 quid more - 6 if you buy on the day.
Do you seriously expect all away fans to turn up without tickets on the day and get into the north stand for 19 quid? Shabby attitude from what used to be a decent, but is now a shabby club.

I guess it's better to have once been decent rather than always shabby.
As for your point, the club owner is more bothered about keeping the large number of home fans happy than worrying about the small number of away fans who turn up at the KC.
Maybe the price differential is down to the actual cost of opening up a stand that holds 4000 for 300-400 people from wakefield?

Once again, for the hard of thinking - some people object, on principal, to being charged more for exactly the same view and seating arrangements, simply because they're 'away' fans; as such, some will choose to stay at home this season - that's their prerogative and is entirely understandable.
Sniping about our ground from the lofty position of lodging with a football team at the whim of a wealthy backer is unwise to say the least; anything could happen.
By the way - I've never seen a post from you that was worth reading. Just saying.

I work in Hull old lad and with the way things are going ref unemployment those home fans could fast disappear the year on year increases for ALL clubs is getting out of hand If I remember right it cost 14-15 to get into the KC 4 years ago wages are not keeping pace with the increase and ALL clubs need to get real

| It seems Warrington & Wigan fans aren't impressed by the price difference for the North & South stands!
Personally i don't understand why you'd want to deter away fans? Reduced away fans equals reduced income, which will have to be found elsewhere. And you know who'll be first in line, the Hull fans! Whether that's admission prices, merchandise, food, makes no difference, they'll recoup the loss

Couldn't agree more dad, and pearson has acknowledged this by making pass and match day prices either the same or less than last year.
For the record, I don't understand the rationale for the increased price for away fans and have emailed the club to tell them I don't agree with it, however the fact is that for the facilities on offer, £23 to sit and watch a game at the KC under cover is much, much better value than £20 to stand out in all weathers at BV.
Yes, I'm very grateful to the local council for building the KC but it's not as if we play there for free (approaching £750k a year for us to be there) and I'm sure none of you will be complaining if you get wakey council to build your new ground eventually and it costs a couple of quid extra to watch a game there. The quality of facilities should be reflected in cost of watching the game IMO.
I'd guess our new owner is just applying his football model to ticket pricing where it's the norm for away fans to pay extra, and with away fans making up such a small % of attendees at the KC (Other than Hull KR, I doubt that away fans make up more than 4-5% of the total attendances over the season), I wouldn't have thought he was that bothered if a few are put off by paying a small amount extra.
I also remember my first game at the Boulevard when my day paid the princely sum of 30p for me to watch the game. How times have changed

I seem to remember reading years ago that the deal Hull had regarding the stadium basically incentivised charging more, even if it meant fewer paying customers. Can't remember the detail though. A somewhat absurb situation from a sporting perspective though, if it is the case.

| Its a sad day in RL when away fans are charged more that home fans on pay at the gate or even by pre booking.
Can't remember the last time i missed a game at FC and although i'm sure we've been charged more over the last few years i am not sure i'll be travelling over this year.
Torn between backing my team and not been ripped off.

I think you might have your maths slightly adrift on the percentages.
We usually bing 1200 - 1500 to the KC which is around 10% of the attendance figure and this would be higher if the entrance fee was a bit cheaper ?
At the end of the day you can charge any amount that you wish and someone has obviously decided that £25 is a fair and reasonable amount.
IMO its too high, but I'll still come to watch Wakey, but some other fans wont and some cant afford this amount for away games.
RL is advertised as a familg game, but not at those prices

WMDC won't be building our new stadium - they've given a relatively small land parcel as security against which £2million of finance can be raised; the vast majority of the build will be funded by a developer who is using it a sweetener to build a warehousing and distribution complex, with the remainder coming from grant funding. If the council were funding our new stadium, we'd have been well set years ago.

Other than the play off game when you beat us, you've never brought anywhere near 1200 to the KC mate.
