Release Johnstone but retain Kay? Surely that’s a wind up?

Completely pointless, too many fans live in a fantasy land where they think it’s as simple as career mode on fifa.

When he's fit he will walk into the England side regardless of who he plays for. That's how good he is.

Problem is our below average coach keeps signing our dead wood on like Arundel, crowther, ashurst and co onto further deals.

The bottom line is do you blame the squad for our results or the Chester for his coaching, team selection and signings. We do have some obvious deficiencies in the squad which a mass clear out even if it was possible would exacerbate.

How can you blame the Squad there made up mainly of players going on 30 or over who are past there best .They still give 100% but it's not as good as 3 year ago .The game now is all about speed and our coach is still obsessed with still signing 30+ players with injury prob Most of the signings over the last 3 year have done nothing to make the team stronger, and if we get a player half decent the coach plays them out of position

From what I’ve been watching on sky it’s just not our team that are in decline but the quality of the game as a whole seems to have taken a step backwards . Hull , Wigan on much bigger budgets than we dare dream about are under performing in a big way and the game just doesn’t seem as dynamic as it was a few years ago . COVID has taken a huge toll on our game there is no denying, not only on the players preparations to the game but also the fan base watching . Personally I think the game as a whole needs a kick up the jacksy ,We have the best sport in the world but it’s just not firing on all cylinders and hasn’t been for quite some time . Our club needs fresh input as it has stagnated and on too many occasions are just going through the motions , whether that’s a new coach or new players we the fans don’t make the call ,but it needs to be done sooner rather than later or our fan base will shrink further ,and that will only lead to less monies available for quality signings , and I think we all know the rest .

Why would we look to sign Lineham who plays on the left hand edge for Warrington the same as TJ and why a winger which is not a position we are short of numbers.

I may question many of the things the club do but even I don’t think they would be that crazy. If they wanted to see the support dissipate that would be an excellent start.

I doubt the owners of the club would allow the coach any involvement in the financial dealings of the club

I'm sure if we were offered £100,000 plus Lineham for Tom, the coach would like to have a say in the deal.

Lineham's not a bad player - the problem is if, and it's a big IF, he replaces Johnstone - those are big shoes to fill and his feet will never be big enough

To me, if we are talking about wingers, we need a right wing.
TJ when fit is one of the best wingers in the game. If he's missing for injury or transfer Kay is a top try scorer on that side and Kershaw is developing well to be a metre gainer if that's what we want.
Neither is particularly great on the right.
BJB spoilt us for a long time on that side. We need to find someone who can do the same and start a partnership with Lyne.

They also need to work out a way to cover for Lyne when he runs out of the defensive line.
