Yes we were unlucky to lose probably due to the overwhelming time we had without the ball and in my opinion absolutely battered by decisions. WP will have taken a a lot from that our younger lads don't like to or know how to lose that shone through tonight. The strength in depth was tested this week and I suspect those in the know knew the ability well now we all do. The defensive effort was immence.

He outshone Pierce tonight, his kicking game was outstanding, defence is sound and genuinely looks a threat with ball in hand.

Some performance that ,slow start in first 10 minutes and same at start of second half .but apart from that it was impressive. Impressed by all W P signings Hood look's like he is out so would replace with Walker .Though Jowitt was out standing followed by Walker but lot of players not far behind .Nice to see a good performance especially on T V Do not agree about same team next week ,.but think we got a squad that is useful and going to get better

I said earlier that I have nothing but complete respect for the squad today. I hope any that decided not to play because of some irrational vaccination fear look at themselves in the mirror and ask am I doing the right thing.
I look forward to seeing the squad selected for another easy game against St Helens and hope that they are worthy of the payers they will probably be replacing.

It's been a long time since I was as proud as that in defeat. A couple of years ago we sent a full team out there and got spanked, totally pathetic performance compared to that, great effort boys, will be very interesting to see the 17 at Saints........

Outstanding performance from the team ,a few silly mistakes that were capitalised on by les cats was all that separated us on the field in the end . Proud as punch for the lot of em and the coaching staff who combined went over to France and gave as good a performance as I’ve seen even with our so called stars sat at home . Couldn’t have asked for more, effort ,enthusiasm , in bucket fulls and the future/season is looking bright at the club knowing we have these lads to step up to the plate and pushing the first teamer’s for a place .Roll on saints

You wouldn’t want to play that team every week but anyone with any RL nouse should spot that there wasn’t a player on that team sheet who wasn’t going to take it seriously. In fact I don’t think there is a player in our squad who isn’t up for it regardless of ability level.

This will be the key and hopefully narrow loses will become narrow wins.

Very proud of them all, genuinely thought the ref was awful but loved the never say die team spirit.
Max was immense, but credit to all concerned.

Max is your typical confidence player. By that I think he needs to feel believed in rather than playing brilliantly all the time. I thought this might be WP biggest asset.

I’m not a CC hater but I did used to cringe when he used the lack of money as an excuse. He was correct but nobody wants to here that least of all the players.

Tactics etc are just the fine detail, the most important job of any coach is to convince all his players that they are good enough. Do that you stay up and eventually you win things. That and a chunk of luck.

Ref was poor wildthing but we made some schoolboy errors at crucial times which les cats capitalised on and cost us in the end . Not taking anything away from the lads they did us proud , but for me that was the difference

Silly things like running behind your own man, we were all taught not to do it right from the off so how it happens numerous times in a professional game is a schoolboy error.

Ashurst knocking the hookers hand on the 5th tackle, on our line was a schoolboy error from a senior player.

We can’t pin the loss on anyone in particular though, I hope it doesn’t come across as that’s I’m trying to do. There were good and bad things from everyone.

Very impressed overall with the fact the younger lads especially wouldn’t just roll over and take it, despite a frustrating ref.

Just hope we can flip the result going forward and make sure we come back with the points.

After yesterday, Walker should be in the halves next week. No if's but's or maybe's.
