You just keep telling them like it is Jeremy. I still wouldn't trust Box and Yorkcourt as far as I could throw thwm.

It's only been a week, encompassing easter as well, so it's a bit early to be giving up hope yet. Box clearly said they'd be meeting later this month so i'm willing to give them until May arrives before i start shouting at them about broken promises.

| Is the trust being frozen out and a deal being put together by Rodney Walker and the council, or is it just the council dragging things out as long as possible?

I would have thought Andrea's focus will now be on retaining he seat in Parliament. If she retains her seat then the meeting may be back on the table.

Slightly O/T but you guys may be interested to read this article: www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/l ... y-10258670. May be a bit of bias but given the Mirror (from what I know) is a Labour-supporting paper, I can't see that being the case.
May be worth promoting this - with an election around the corner, there's a reason to get things moving. After all Labour-led WMDC will be looking to secure all the votes they can if there's a risk the Tories may start gaining ground....

Who knew Nigel Wood lived Wakey?
The East of the district will always vote Labour, the city itself not so conclusive. Box is safe.

Could they have picked a more negative picture of Wakefield, empty, overweight bloke, Mobility scooter, " to let"sign, Iceland.
Why not picture the Trinity, buzzing with people, Debenhams in the background, clean and modern etc?

The Reporter, Paul Routledge stated that he spoke to someone in the covered market. B****y H**l, He's lucky he found anybody in the market to talk to. Very disturbing article though in all seriousness.

Garbage, I could take a similar photo in NY, Sydney, Barcelona etc, my beef is that was a particularly negative photo suggesting "even people like this, from this city wouldn't vote for Corbyn" a shocking piece.

I was commenting on the image. Still it fits in with the argument that after 80 odds years of Labour rule the city is in decline so it's time for a change.

Didn't the reporter go to Normanton Grammar School along with one of his interviewee's Brian Barley who happened to play for Wakefield RU club and England RU and apparently votes Labour. Looks like the reporter was a local lad himself, so maybe he see's a big difference after maybe moving away from Wakey to further his career in journalism.

I can't vouch for everyone but I went to school with Brian Barley in the same year and really can't remember Paul Routledge, as for Brian, if I remember correctly he was from Crofton/Sharlston, so it shouldn't be too surprising if he voted labour
