Morton didnt cost us the game anymore than numerous other players.
you could blame our half backs for their crap kicking game, you could blame Amors loose carry,Howarths missed tackles,Kings late high shot,Griffin spilling the high ball.'"
Howarth was off colour yesterday but he wasn't alone there. Paul Johnson didn't make the yards he usually does either, we were certainly lacking a lot of go forward. The halves were shocking, Griffin is too greedy, Vievers too ponderous returning the ball and the more I see of Wildie at hooker the more i'm convinced he should be swapping positions with Tommy Lee. Im sure Morton will learn from his mistakes and for what its worth I would play him next week to get over it.

I thought Griffin was looking like a second rower yesterday. Big enough, agile and speedy enough, but not sure enough for a centre. I suspect he's not long from doing an Ellis and going into the pack.

Ball steals happen every game -- so why s this one unforgivable.
Christ on a bike get with reality --- he had a brain fart.He didnt commit mass murder!!! or drown a bag full of kittens.
Brain farts can happen any time --- Was it Steve Hampson,2nd minute of a test match got himself sent off for headbutting Gary Freeman!!!!
Or Brett Ferres for Wakey v Wire -- the half time hooter already sounded, but Brett decides to throw the ball about and it resulted in us conceding a try.
Or how about the Hull K R player that took the ball off Rinaldi in the last minute a few weeks ago.

| The lad dropped a big one and he'll know it and be hurting. That's sport. I've captained teams and dropped howlers that may have cost us games, you just want a hole to appear and swallow you up. It's how he reacts to it that counts. We''ll see next Sunday.

| I've been resisting the urge to post but can't now it has gone on so long.
Morton made a mistake. However he did at least as many significantly good things in the game as bad things.
Let it go. The game wasn't his fault.

| There were plenty of incidents throughout the game that would have made more of a difference to the result of the game had they been spotted, or chances taken, but you have chosen a small incident because it was the last incident.
Too many fans are small minded and don't actually understand the game enough to be able to differentiate between these things.

I wonder if the players were giving him a real hard time for the blunder at the start so he thought 'sod you all?'
I still can't make sense of it and it's driving me around the bend.

Surely Mr Rugby League the game was ruined by our inability to stop Castleford going the length of the field for Chase to score, after the Mathers break from a nothing grubber, to put them within two points or maybe when the penalty (which levelled the game) was given away after Amor failed to hold the ball correctly.
As for you asking whether Morton is 'simple or something' I have to agree that clearly up there with the greatest quotes of all time not just on here. If you had a proper thought go through your head it would be the fastest trip in history.

That grubber turned the game in my opinion. Another poor kick among many in the second half. Momentum shifted Cas' way and they took full advantage of it.

| It's fish n chip paper now anyway, let's move on, we've more important things to worry about.
Dale made a mistake which young players do, he'll learn from it and won't do it again.
The highly experienced international Mick Vella did the same against us.

| If it had happened at any other point in the game the only thing being discussed about the incident was the fact that Slimeywood gave most of the 50/50 decisions to Cas.

| To NGB4C and Lupset Airport ( are you one and the same?), the lad made a mistake, he has to live with that. He will do what we all do and learn from his mistakes. It is time to support the club and the young team we have, if you can't or won't do that, go to the Cas forum, I'm sure you will find people that agree with you there

| Forgive me if this has already been suggested, but lets assume Dale didn't steal the ball, the game went into the 2nd period of Extra Time and for whatever reason we still ended up losing. Would Dale Morton still be talked down for the rest of his participation in the game?
Everybody move on. I am sure that given his time again Dale would not have made the same decision, and this is just one part of his learning curve. We were all drivers once!

| Theres no shame in losing to a team that, on the day, played better than we did. Lets not forget that this team is was chucked together at the last minute under very trying circumstances - the fact that we are already expecting wins speaks volumes for the character and effort of the players, who will only get better with experience. FWIW, I'm amazed that someone of Dale's physique can defend better than Blanch could even dream of!

its not even a final and he's now taken over Don Fox's missed kick the poor poor lad,
as for the kicking game it was very poor you do need to watch it again, on the day the wind was a bit wild but that shouldn't be used as an excuse
there was good returns by mathers how broke a few tackles and made good yardage
its was just a brain explosion which I can forgive for it
