Can't talk for TRB but I know nothing about it because I tend to deal in facts. Until somebody proves that this event ever took place I'll ignore it. The Denby Dale thing was never going to happen it was a flight of fancy IMO. YCCC were never going to leave Headingley and that land was never available purely for the use of a RL club - it was always a non starter as far as I know.

I also know that Councillor box denied WMDC ever owned the land in question, whether they did I don't know. If it wasn't Council land then what chance a private developer offering us the land at a price we could afford? It was always a far more valuable site than Newmarket.

IMHO Ted never turned it down because he was never offered it on sensible terms in the first place.

the problem with your challenge to him vasty is that to some proof is about strength of feeling and to others it is about evidence. You are talking a different language to our friend who dished out the allegation.

They promised to build a stadium at Thornes Park and renaged on the deal.
Much of what has happened is related to this situation - as you well know.

and they have bailed the club out on various occasions and offered land at denbydale and a stadium and passed newmarket. if they couldnt afford thornes then what do you want them to do. we have been in sl long enough ted should of sorted it. also the council cop the flak cause box is a cas fan.

In fairness, the club needs both those who will toe it's line and those who will challenge it at every turn. The Trust needs this too.

Deal with this fact then, If the Denby Dale thing was never going to happen in this flight of fantasy of yours and Yorks CC were never going to leave Headingley, then why did Mr Caddick threaten to sue Yorks CC if they moved to Denby Dale Rd and why did Wakefield Council have plans drawn up. You are right though when you said the land was never going to be available purely for a rugby league club, as industrial units were going to be built on there as well, and considering that in an earlier post you denied any knowledge of it why was it always a non starter as far as you knew?

2nd paragraph
As a matter of interest why would Cr Box deny Wakefield council owning this land and why would it have come to your attention if you knew nothing of any interest regarding DD Rd, Assuming that this land did belong to a private developer as you say rather than Wakefield council why would the land be more expensive, surely the council would have a duty to the ratepayers to sell this land at a premium.

3rd paragraph
