Well the club and himself have let it be known without actually signing a contract, which could result in other clubs coming in with a farthing more an him choosing to go to them.

I suspect the contract has been signed for weeks. There is no chance imho that the club would say anything if they were not sure.

The notification of signings are often held back for a multitude of reasons, most are bureaucratic in nature.

I`ve heard it`s a done deal, they`ve removed the smoke alarms from the plans in the players toilets in preparation, the club have also saved £26.50 taking these out of the plans.

I really can't see why that was a stackable offense.

I think he also had his mobile phone with him which is strictly banned on match days I these days of spread betting I can understand why that rule is imposed.by the clubs

If he was playing regularly he wouldn’t have been sacked for it, however with his large contract running down Titans I think saw it as a decent money saving exercise.

As I said, sounds like a way to get him off the cap. I reckon he's not making a fuss because he's been paid off - absolutely no proof of that by the way. But it does all seem a bit odd.

Doesn't matter, it's against the rules as was the vaping. I've a feeling it probably wasn't a first offence hence the sacking and his lack of appeal but there's no proof of that either. When it's announced he has a clean slate here, over to him to prove himself to a new employer, set of teammates and supporters.

Its not conjecture. Its wrong. I was trying to make a point about who ridiculous it was. Clearly flew by.

The Titans appeared to have a few expensive players who just weren't busting a gut or performing, Proctor being one. It sounds like a cultural issue there and maybe he needed a clean slate too.

And neither was my beloved Timmy Smith when he crashed a car into someones drive at silly o'clock but he still did something that he shouldn't have done. Yes one is the extreme and one seems very silly but rules are rules, regardless of who sets them.

He didn't start any rumours, in the NRL members of club staff at the ground are not allowed to be in possession of their phone before or during a game due to betting rules. Might even be the same over here now. It was probably the more serious breach of the two offences committed together, thats the point i think he's making.

But there is no evidence, or even suggestion that is the case, so to suggest it now, is starting a rumour.

I don't really understand why we are even discussing it. I clearly tried to be too subtle but you can't suggest stuff like that on here.

But it`s not a rumour is it? He wasn`t sacked for just vaping, he broke NRL rules by having his phone with him during a match, whatever he was or wasn`t doing on his phone is irrelevant as he`s breached it just having it on him in the first place.

He also had previous at the Titans for taking cocaine on a night out for which he was fined by the club. I imagine it was the culmination of the offences that lead to his sacking.

It was ‘alleged’ regarding the coke according to all the reports I’ve read. Frankly I’m pretty sure he did hence he accepted the fine.

But let’s be straight about this, he has no criminal record of any kind. A fine from any sporting organisation, no matter how grand they think they are, does not constitute a legal admission to law breaking,

It’s a clean sheet in legal terms as he has never been found guilty of anything in a Court. So before flinging to much mud about beware. We all fancy ourselves as RL experts, some more than others but the law is a different beast.

So in the same way as people serve their time he’s paid his fine. None of this has sod all to do with whether we are getting a good player or not.
