We've only played four matches, got more points for than Widnes, four less than Cas & six less than London.

I think you should be worried that your attack was completely non-existant until about 10mins to go. The weather today meant it was never going to be a classic (swirling wind and sleat throughout) but Wakefield offered little threat. This is exactly the issue that Hull had for 3 seasons under Agar, decent defence, but coulden't score.

Your defence was very good however, and Hull struggled to break it down despite having loads of possession.

Did you ever think that wakey were probably fired up for this game, had the motivation to take it to us for 60mins and then drop off, I think the worst coach to grace superleague was agar and look what happened to him.......

Not really, you got some better field position from a couple of penalties and some better kicks and generated some pressure of that.

The weather was awful though, which meant both sides were (understandably) doing a lot of one-man drives, roll on summer!

Great effort today. Played into a hail Mary of a wind and snow first half and spent the majority of it in our half. One lapse for their first try, but that aside we held our line brilliantly. Had to defend our line time and again in the second half and did so well. Conceded after Mellars slipped. Played to the conditions for most of the game and both sides adopted one out rugby. It was catch 22. On one hand throw it about in that and the ball would have gone to ground. Play it simple and up against a much bigger pack it was going to be hard work. I didn't see Hull playing it any different to how we did. Conditions wouldn't allow it.

 10 to go, 14-0 down and after all that tackling you would have be forgiven for thinking that was it. To still have the reserves to dig in and really have a go at the end was great to see and I'm proud of the lads today. 

Ok, we didn't win today, I don't care if we did beat Hull FC last season, or that we did beat Hull KR at home last season. If last seasons team had played today, Hull may well have scored 40. We couldn't defend for toffee last year, and now we can. We haven't been fit for 4 years, and now we are. There is a lot to look forward to in this team when the pitches dry out. I for one can't wait.

Had to laugh at Cockaynes answer to all the booing when he walked back down the touchline laughing at the Hull fans after scoring, they went barmy.

Following this point to its natural conclusion, you must be worried that in seventy minutes you only scored two tries? we managed that in ten minutes.

I've seen more in the three games against Widnes, KR & Bradford to know that we're a much improved side. I didn't go today so can't comment but i'm happy with the direction we're heading and whilst we're far from complete e.g. Goal Kicker, there's alot to be positive regarding WTW.

I don't expect anything this season except a gradual improvement as we try to blend together so many new faces. If we do that than i'll be happy!!

I didn't go to the game, so no. I do hate Ben Cockayne though. I used to hate Clint Newton, but that was different, I respect him as a RL player - like I do nearly all the other RL players. Cockayne is a cowardly thug who I have no respect for and the fact that the majority of Hull KR (and obviously now Wakefield) fans treat him as they do is shocking IMO.

I'm no fan and a few on here will tell you thats the case, but i have to say after the pathetic booing from the first whistle i don't blame him, did the FC fans boo Foxy for the same reasons you mention.

Anyway its only a bit given out and a bit given back and no harm done.

Because you're in Wakey and we're in Hull you won't get it. This excuse for a man Cockeyne is a thug of the highest order and when he was at rovers he was loved because of it. We had to put up with idiots portraying him as some kind of hero when in fact he should have been having porridge for what he did. It was in our papers and even on a video in the local paper showing his act and it was sickening. That's why he his given stick and for him to even laugh it off is more sickening. The blokes got talent which is a talent wasted on him. The Fox thing is just banter and nothing more than that.

He wasn't laughing when he got hammered and gave away a penalty was he lol. That was the worst team I've seen at the KC for a long time lost every 1v1 battle. Poor decisions by us not to kick our our penalties and you even struggled when Ganson dragged you back into it in the last 10. Love playing against Fox his positional sense is abysmal.
