I think this will be a tough game.
If we are at our best we will win, but Widnes have always had a habit of finding our small flaws and making them big ones.
Still think we'll win, but it won't be easy.

Dont know about small flaws turning into big ones but, Scott Moores small ban just kept on growing and growing.


Playing on grass will help us. Their 2 victories so far this season have been on their plastic pitch.

I feel & hope the same but as a Trinity fan, you just can't be sure. If we play like we did especially first half against Wigan we should win well but if we get into a penalty-strewn dogfight we'll make the job harder than it needs to be and Widnes so far this season have proven no mugs.
Looking at the weather forecast it's gonna be another cold evening but at least there's no rain forecast, for whatever that's worth. Where maybe playing expansive rugby won't be the order of the day, at least not in the first half, or until we put ourselves into a position to earn to play that way.
Hate to say it but we defo could do with the 2 points because we've got a run of quality opposition coming up for the next 7 games after this. We really need to make Belle Vue a bit of a fortress this season. Obviously, we aren't going to win every game away against the top 5 or so teams, so we've got to try to pick as many of them off at home and hopefully the odd one away.

Widnes are one of the teams we should be targeting home and away for wins. I don't think it will be easy though, even though they have been losing, they have averaged scoring the same as us (19-20 points per game), the difference has been in there defence where they have let in an average of 6 points more than us each game

Put like that it's very sobering indeed - what a tight league this is. That may be a good thing for us but it might not be. However 4 from 5 is as good as any of us bar one bufoon could have hoped for.

Certainly won't be easy on Saturday.

Just been on twitter to see what was happening on the Trinity site. My word there is some proper classy 'women' Widnes supporters actually having a go at MC for not calling off the game sooner, seriously you couldn't make it up. The guy that was actually out there shovelling trying to get the game on so people could watch it.
Apart from the fact about an hour before the game, the roads/grass was pretty clear around us and I'm currently just down the road. The other point is it's the match commissioner that calls it off not MC.
Even after MC had released a club statement saying the Club will give everyone who attended the game and has retained their ticket stub, a free ticket for the rearranged fixture, even though he doesn't have to under the rules, that would be only half price in our case. Honestly some people.
Also, travelling supporters can read weather forecasts and see what it's potentially going to be like before they decide to travel down the M62.
Apparently, he should of known that Blizzard was coming when it did.
