| Off to Scotland or Wigan so I heard. Both seem very odd rumours, but there you go.

| Wonder if Saints are having second thoughts about appointing Nathan Brown as coach? He's tinkered about with the Hudds team more times this season, no wonder there's no consistency. Saints won't stand for clowning around like that for very long.

| would not want Danny boy back now fergie had so much promise but never really kicked on looks an average SL player who could drop a division if he does not pull his finger out. Never did get Huddersfields Hodgson replaced by George deal George started well enough but hes fallen away in recent weeks
Very poor gate last night in a stadium that is way too big for Huddersfield RLFC
Also think Huddersfield should part with Brown this morning

Don't know if there is any truth in this, but coming from you I seriously doubt it.
Can I ask why you are utterly obsessed with players who have left or are never coming. Why not use your energy to support the players we have instead of endlessly bitching about them. For you the grass always seems greener on the other side - hence some of the truly ludicrous statements you make.
This weekend we saw your latest love interest Sam Moa owned by Andy Raleigh, a converted SR who will soon be able to draw a pension.
Broughs best years are behind him and IMHO we got the best of them - I'm gratefull for that but now we need to move on and find the next Broughy.

| Lets be realistic.
Brough is having more success at Hudds than anywhere else he has played. He wouldn't be playing for England if still with us.
Why would Hudds let him leave when they need him and he is in contract
If Brough wanted to leave, and Hudds let him, there would be a long list of teams above us chasing his signature. All with more money and more success.
Lets not embarrass ourselves and leave this alone before the Cas and Fartown trolls start lining up.

| I expect Broughy to join St Helens when Brown moves over.
As for Tim Smith.... had a hand in ever try on Sun (withthe exception of Sykes effort)
Does make mistakes... but organises us and more importantly over the last few games has really made things happen.
If he remains consisstent I would have no worries about a contract extension.

I do not think RA is a fan.

| What I like about Tim Smith is that he is always involved. When the odd move goes wrong he puts his hand up but immediately fires everybody back up and gets on with the next play.

This.
Completely unrealistic to think DB would come back anytime soon. Lets get behind the players who do want to play for us.

I assume it is Agar in conversation with Peter Sharp, JKs successor at Hull, however if DB was as unpopular at Hull as this post makes out, why did JK sign him??

Agreed, in relation to Brough, given they seem to have missed out on Smith to Wigan, Brough will be in demand.
As Anderson said this week good halves in SL are as rare as hens teeth and with the increase in the Australian salary cap and the exchange rate top halves will not come to SL.
The big clubs that were all chasing Smith of Salford (who is at best a good prospect) and also the rumours of transfer fee's being offered to Cas for Chase highlights just how desperate clubs are to secure what half decent halves there are knocking about.

No shortage of H/Bs just a reluctance amongst coaches to give British ones a real chance. Your own clubs decision to waste Tomkins at FB when he is a HB - something you were saying 18 month ago.
Finch got a season to get it together, do British lads get the same?
Woods at our place has all the makings of a H/B but he just won't get the chance IMO.

I think we offer smith a extension to the contract as he now seems to have settled and is playing very well. Offer Mathers and sykes a contract get in another prop and we will be there or there abouts

My big hope with Smith was that we got a second season syndrome out of him should we have extended his contract - ie he clicked in the second season.
Now I'm worries he may be attracting attention from other clubs - we need to decide now whether he is our man or not

I think if things progress as they have over recent weeks Smith will make himself a real prospect for next season, if not here then elsewhere, as will Paul Sykes.
Both on current form are worth two year contracts.
Aiton signed up for longer, Mathers made permanent and a bit more meat added to the bones in the pack and i think we are shaping up nicely for an improvement going forward.
Perhaps Wood will have been given a decent run and John progressed too.
Add a few youngsters getting involved and i think we'd all be fairly happy.

He's only on a one season deal isn't he? If he didn't perform in year one, there wouldn't be much chance of a second season to have any kind of syndrome in.

In my opinion I think we should decide now and sign him up on an extended contract. I've always felt he could play but I think he is showing it more recently as I think the forwards are performing better particularly Raleigh who has improved tremendously in my view.
