Cas haven't brought 3-4k to BV for years. Not knocking that, Cas bring decent support but not 3-4k!

why obbsessed just think it great chance for 2 teams playing well above the weight in a league where they say there no room for both of us to get good gate, Cas will bring 3k on a Sunday with no TV because there is sod else to do same has Wake could easly get 6 or 7 thousand on back your last win.We played each other to many times over the last few years and people get sick watching the same teams and thats why attendaces have been down.

Apparently cas are having to swap there season tickets for the propa tickets so they may be expecting it to be full.

Lets hpe the club get the message out that the game is all ticket and u need to buy asap. Create a frenzy and they'll be no people questioning whether to go or not

and then as has happened before (leeds a couple of seasons ago), people don't turn up on the day because they've been told it is all ticket.

If people want to go they'll make the effort not just walk up when they feel like it. This is one of the major hurdles with our club that we do not plug the season ticket or pre match purchases enough (home or away).

We shouldn't be reliant on walk up trade we're a professional club not an amateur sunday league team. If the marketing is done the sales take care of themselves for a game like this.

If I can get a flight over from Ireland I will be over on Sunday like a flash.



I think the game against Cas is THE derby game as I think do many others. This game is like our own mini- championship decider for the bragging rights till next season - bring it on

Following on from what John "The Master" Kear said last night, we've gotta fill Belle Vue for the c*s match next Sunday, otherwise we never will this season. Our boys this year are playing with true belief, dedication and desire to reach the playoffs at the end of the season, but can't make it without your support! So people of Wakefield, get yourselves to Belle Vue next Sunday, your team and your city needs you! So if I can make one more suggestion, get there early next Sunday, because for years and years, the away supporters have monopolised the terrace behind the posts, that's why they are the noisier, because they are altogether, so we really ought to shout ourselves ho for what will be the most important match of the season. Forget the win at Saints last night, we need to focus on c*s!

I'm going on what happened before. I can see what you are getting at, and yes, in an ideal world they should make the effort. However, plenty of people are used to walking up and for whatever reason don't buy in advance. When we are selling out regularly, then they may all buy season tickets. At the moment though, when we are averaging nowhere near capacity, to try to create a false frenzy could easily backfire and just put off plenty of the more casual support.

Given attendances thus far I think there will be 7500 - 8000. Disappointing but then all bar the Harlequins home match have been.

Just realised meself it clashes with that day, very unfortunate and will have a bearing on the attendance IMO. Racing there is a hugely popular event so it really is on the marketing team to sell this game to the public and persuade them to come to this rather than the races..

John KEar said if a massive crowd does not flock to Belle vue for this one then a crowd never will. I agree with him 5th v 6th derby game loads at stake. If there is less than 8000 there then we are a disgrace. It annoys me when people say its not on TV so it should bring more. If you are a fan of that team you should be there what ever like I was against St Helens not many gonna make the trip but I did and christ would not have swapped it for the World nothing like the atmosphere when we pull off a shock win in the away end. You don't get that on your armchairs. OH and if the weather is bad that is another excuse our fans seem to like to give I managed to drive to St Helens through utter crap friday, so a small trip to wakey and bring a brolli should not ditter you. This already happened at the Cas v Wakey friendly earlier in the season. If people want to support the Fund on the day they can join the walk from Cas to Wakey, we are leaving Cas at 11am , stopping at Cas Panthers where Adams son Arana played at 11.30 then heading towards Normanton and over the Common. Everyone please feel free to join us , even if its only for a small section of the walk and show your support for the Fund and Adams memory.
